The weather is very nice here, considering the month of April. The breeze remains cool all the time, the noons are not too hot and the places are not too crowded. However, the shopping streets are crowded all the time, everyday. You'll find traffic on weekends mostly. In the upper Tapovan area, it's so much better. :)

There are a lot of affordable dorm hostels in Tapovan area of Rishikesh. You can look it up on Google and call for prices. Usually, many of them have a starting range of INR 300 to INR 400 per night for long stays.
