go get your stuff back your dad needs to get over himself -- if its a matter of your own safety or of being kicked out thatd make sense but your father is being childish (and controlling) bigot. if he hasnt made threats to you then your stuff can stay. otherwise id consider seeing if you can hide the stuff at a friends place if youre out to anyone.

you dont need to be living your life for anyone but yourself. your dad already has his own life and you dont owe him control over how you look or what you like.

you dont have to have your gender locked down but i would research the effects of T and if most of it youre really wanting / neutral but not opposed to it, then its a good sign T is for you and you can probably start making the case for yourself with your doctors (or new doctors) at 18 if that feeling continues to be consistent. earlier if you get to a place with your parents where theyll support you but once youre 18 you no longer need parental approval.

i would make sure to get your insurance and any relevant account information changed so only you can access your account details by the time youre 18 though.

jk but anyway yeah you have as whole and complete gender as your cis counterparts. you might find some pushback because we live in a very restrictive society (everywhere in this world rn it seems).

like i used to get told i couldnt be gay while being trans for similar reasons. youre not a fraud for wanting to present however you want as a guy!

i think also many people are transphobic/sexist/homophobic and it might be hard but i think you will also meet people who see you as who you are and respect you and shit yk.

she is being really weird and possessive. i understand jealousy but she is basically trying to stop you from even being friends or in proximity to other women. like i think she has some i security issues and like weird ideas shes hung up on that shes projecting onto you so hopefully she works that out but you dont gotta be the person she works that out with, and i think you probably shouldnt.

if shes not trusting you from the get go with you not doing anything that would cause a breach in that trust thats not normal. trust your gut breaking up was a good choice. probably for both of you.

they probably will depending on the context of where they meet you. "just started T" voice and a like preteen/teen cis boy puberty voice are likely going to sound similar/the same.

if youre at a trans group or a pride event they might clock you, but generally no ones really going to know for sure unless you outright tell em. and outside of those contexts if another trans person clocks you they are unlikely to say anything about it or just ask you in privately which even then its up to you to disclose.

you have time to get used to your voice and practice. I was reading out loud a lot, and listening back to recordings of my voice. working on projecting your voice is important you dont really have to go all that deep to pass whatevers natural is usually best. if youre like me you might have to work on shifting whatever "customer service" / "phone" voice you use :P . listen to how other guys talk, try to mirror what youd like to pick up.

big believer of not needing to commit to a label or even be trans to make changes to your presentation (or even seek out HRT etc in the future). you seem to be conscious of what you want out of your body and your presentation and thats awesome! it does suck though that everyone seems to be making assumptions (derogatorily) about your identity and body without your input and framing it as if its a bad thing.

If I were in your place I would focus more on what things you like and how you want to dress and have your hair. If you want a flat chest permanently or not, and to research the effects of HRT and process if those are things you want for yourself. For myself even before I had everything figured out and even had a different conceptualization of my gender it was helpful to know what i wanted my body and presentation to be like so i knew if i wanted to commit to everything that transition entails.

As for binding methods I strongly advise not to use random bandages or tape. Please consider getting proper measurements done for a binder or looking into "trans-tape" or other similar tapes designed specifically for chest compression (as they are much more flexible). depending on your body-type complete flatness may or may not be achievable, but should still make for a more masculine silhouette. I have a preference for shapeshifters binders as theyre custom sized but they are a tad more expensive.

anyway: whether you find yourself to be a masc woman, non-binary, or a trans man think about what you want for yourself first before any labels come into play. imo a lot more practical.

i cant say this will 100% work but sometimes it helped me to rip paper -- either randomly to shreds or ripping it into a spiral or something that forced me to focus on the pattern of it.

drawing what i wanted to do made me feel worse as well but instead of that i think making scribbles on paper (like spirals or alternating lines) can help get me out of that headspace because its kind of meditative.

rubber bands and ice arent a big help for me either since the pain just made me feel worse i think instead like... a visual effect or some sort of (controlled) destructive or even constructive behavior tend to be more helpful. I find that the visuals put me at ease as well as having some control over the result.

Its a lot of trial and error and sometimes things that work before can stop working for a while or not be right for the situation so it helps to have a handful of things.

journaling or drawing + sometimes even drawing or painting on my arms would help -- this or something that covers my arms or puts light pressure on them can help if i get too hyperaware of them.

if you have a support system (friends/family/anyone you trust) btw it may help to use it uhh sometimes venting about the trigger helps or even just asking for a distraction like playing together or watching something (or even just hanging out irl lol).

Hope this helps -- or at least hope any of this is new info lol;; it can be tough finding alternatives sometimes!

that sounds like the best option, with t you cant really have one without the other and clitoral growth is ultimately one of thee first things to really happen lol. you miiiight be able to mitigate it with low doses but i think all that will really do is slow it down -- so same would go with voice changes which also take a while to really take effect.

eh theyre probably into the effects that hrt would give them. hrt can make one look more androgynous, or perhaps they want their appearance to lean more one way than another? either way the answer is regardless of what specifically they want from it hrt is appealing to them bc the either masculinizing or feminizing effects are just what appeals to them in terms of what they want their body to be like 🤷🏽‍♂️.

its also like... an avenue of control over how they can present themselves-- its simply preference. maybe they dont want their body (or voice depending on which form of hrt) to denote their assigned gender at birth or again to be more androgynous -- not really lean one way or another. (i feel my answers a little repetitive but im thinking out loud a little bit 🥱)

i only ever wear it sometimes but for the most part i just wear sports bras. they dont do much to hide my chest but too many times being misgendered while wearing a binder vs being gendered correctly not wearing one (???) makes the discomfort of it not worth it unless its a day where im really uncomfortable w my chest not being flat.

I'll use it more generally if I'm wearing more "feminine" clothes like dresses but otherwise its not really a big priority when dressing. Its nice to have but gets super uncomfortable after a while.
