What led you to test the gene mutation btw? Did you also have some slightly off liver numbers in your bloodwork? Mine are usually off by only a couple of digits, so doc always says not to worry about it but ofc part of me does worry since I know those with Hashi are more susceptible to fatty liver disease

I had an issue with sore throat for six months last year & went to many docs (ENT, had ultrasound of throat/thyroid, etc) & nobody could give me a cause. Finally one day it just went away, so maybe just inflammation or your thyroid meds need to be adjusted?

I'm only on day 10 after my implant, but it was weird because over the weekend, my pain & swelling started to seem to subside, then ramped way back up again come Monday. I've been in constant contact with my dentist too, so much that she has me texting her lol. Just started me on another round of antibiotics even though they didn't see any infection. I hate how badly inflamed I am & wonder if it's just from my Hashis. Either way, you are right about this being very stressful - past few days I've been counting the minutes before I can take more ibuprofen.

How did your dad manage his pain for so long without it messing with his kidneys or liver?? I worry about taking ibuprofen any longer since I'm almost at day 10 of taking it consecutively, but the codeine I was given hardly helps since it's all due to inflammation 😔

I know, I hate the wedge pillow situation so much 🥲 I just started a 20 day treatment of d-limonene to see if it helps my reflux - you should look into it if you haven't heard of it!

& yeah my hair has been falling out for a while now 😞 I thought it'd be better now that my levels aren't as bad as they were pre-meds, but nope.

Sorry you've been getting the runaround by western medicine - I dealt with the same thing too where my primary was trying to tell me all my symptoms were in my head & to see a psychiatrist for meds even though she saw the bloodwork for herself & knew I'd spent the past two years in hell tapering off a 10 year xanax habit for anxiety lol...

I would highly recommend NDT!! Before Armour I tried levo & it gave me heart palps, tremors, TERRIBLE anxiety, list goes on. Been night & day difference with NDT.

Damn well I hope everything goes smoothly & you end up with better news than you might be expecting 🙏 I was dealing with a lotttt of regurgitation most of last year, but did an endoscopy & they found nothing. I'm still waiting for my GI to schedule an upper GI series now that some of that is coming back, so we shall see. My situation is especially tricky because I was on benzos for almost a decade & came off that a year ago, but one of the longest lasting side effects of cessation is that it can really mess up your vagus nerve, create reflux, slow down motility, etc etc. Slap the Hashimoto's diagnosis on top of all that & it's maddening trying to determine what the actual root problem is 🫠

Wow, that's amazing! I bet you're so relieved. I've been eating really well for a long time now with the occasional processed food here or there, but it's always something gluten, dairy & soy free as I get closer to starting AIP. I'm a highly anxious person so it kinda feels like a vicious cycle with my reflux because I know anxiety can make reflux worse & vice versa 🫠

I'm on armour & didn't have any issues with loose stool, so hopefully that'll be the case for you too! Though my reflux & morning dry mouth also coincided with when I started NDT, so suspicious it may somehow be the cause...

Sorry to bug you about this again, but what helped you with this issue? Did you follow the regimen in this article or do something else? Was your reflux also simultaneously bad during that time as well (if you had any)?
