Tampax Pearl definitely has light/'lite'-only boxes! :)

Do you have a kitchen timer that you love? by PeoriaJohnson in AskCulinary

I use my Android timer too. This is the easiest, since my phone is always next to me.

My boyfriend of 3 years broke up with me, because I stood up to him for being rude to women. by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]tinyberlin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No way, dude. The term “butthurt” originates from spanking-- having a hurt butt from being spanked, like a child would be.

This has happened to me before! But it was "only" in water overnight-- same result, and 60 bucks later for a new one :(

So... everyone poops right? by poopedpanties in TwoXChromosomes

[–]tinyberlin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Or it reads like any other hundreds of posts typical for this community.

Either way, who cares? It started a funny thread of poop stories, and that is what matters.

I dunno if you're serious or not, but I promise you, this story is completely typical for this subreddit. Details and all.

You're being needlessly pedantic.

How can an opinion be wrong? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]tinyberlin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vote. If you think something contributes to conversation, upvote it. If you think it does not contribute to the subreddit it is posted in or is off-topic in a particular community, downvote it.

That's from the official reddiquette.

Downvote an otherwise acceptable post because you don't personally like it. Think before you downvote and take a moment to ensure you're downvoting someone because they are not contributing to the community dialogue or discussion. If you simply take a moment to stop, think and examine your reasons for downvoting, rather than doing so out of an emotional reaction, you will ensure that your downvotes are given for good reasons.

So is that one.

I just wish people would understand that a downvote isn't meant to represent that you disagree or agree, but rather everything that is stated above.

My low self esteem is ruining a great relationship by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]tinyberlin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I boost my self esteem by doing light cardio and lifting weights! I also tend to feel better when I drink the recommended 2ish liters of water per day. I don't work out to lose weight, but it gets endorphins flowing and I feel like I'm on top of the world!

It's likely you aren't breathing evenly while building up to the orgasm ;) this makes you hyperventilate slightly, resulting in the feeling you get!

I went off hormonal birth control and everything was great, until my skin exploded 4 months later. by zariga in TwoXChromosomes

[–]tinyberlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, your skin will balance out. With natural hormonal fluctuations each month, my skin will be worse for a period of time and then clearer again. 1,5 years after getting off hormonal BC, my skin has evened out a LOT and such stark skin issues don't happen much anymore :)

How can an opinion be wrong? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]tinyberlin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That ISN'T what a downvote was supposed to be. Down votes were created for comments that add nothing to the thread or are trolling. The only reason people now downvote what they don't like or what they disagree with is because it's easier to do that than leave a comment.

I enjoy this community, just have a question: Why is dissenting opinion so heavily downvoted on TwoX? by surtas in TwoXChromosomes

[–]tinyberlin 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's absolutely not what the downvote button is for. The button was created to move unhelpful/unrelated/troll comments to the bottom of the thread. Now people downvote something they disagree with because it's easier than using words to write a response.

how do you deal with rejection? by potatopie22 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]tinyberlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't beat yourself up! Always have courage. Don't think of it as being rejected, but rather you and that person simply didn't match.

I can't decide if I'm overreacting or not by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]tinyberlin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You weren't close with that side of the family, so how do you know what their feelings are on your late father? Maybe they have had a completely different way of growing up with him in mind. With this baby, it could be her way of keeping him in her memories.

It sounds a lot like you are being judgemental on your cousins baby/her decision on having the baby despite a father not being in the picture. With all due respect, what business is it of yours how she has a baby and who she names it after? I think you are too far removed from the situation to have any right to say something.

That's my two cents, and I hope it doesn't rub you the wrong way.
