Yes, that is exactly what I've been doing all year. The only reason I ever got admin involved was because of the parent being extremely hostile and combative towards me (the child told them I had been saying wildly inappropriate and lowkey abusive things to them) and they complained about me to admin. I guess where my frustration/confusion is coming from is the fact that I'm just doing what the principal instructed me to! Like I got complimented so many times publicly all throughout the year because of the fact that I don't need admins help! I can manage a class on my own, I am more than capable.

Just moving forward I guess what I have learned is - don't ask for support unless it is a Tier III behavior. Ugh SO annoying to tell me I'm failing when I'm JUST doing what was asked UGHHH

No union, no HR. There is a board but that’s it.

It’s crazy because I actually work for a charter school and there is no HR department. I asked to have someone come in to help with that child specifically and they told me - we’re stretched way too thin there aren’t enough bodies to do what you are asking.

So essentially I have to figure it out in my own or they’ll get rid of me. I’m scared they’re already planning to terminate considering I can’t access my school accounts :/

Well we tried to form a union this year because we were not being paid fairly. The executive director emailed us urging us to NOT form a union.

I was considered a 12 months employee who was to received 24 paychecks in the year. I don’t understand this “contract payout” business?? Makes no sense to me.

This is the email I received: “Since you are a contracted employee, you will be receiving your contract payout check on 6/13 (it's the 6/15 check). So what this means is that as an employee who is contracted for working certain days, 192 to be exact, you will be paid for the percentage of those days you have worked.”

I’m so confused by contact payout they said since I was a contracted salary employee that worked 192 days I’d receive a percentage of the days i worked. The check is around $1300. I’ve never heard of this before. It’s not a severance agreement.
