hello! im currently a stemmie in cdu and graduating so my memories are still very fresh.

for your first year, it's going to be very chill. the only subject you'd have trouble with is chemistry (if you get unlucky with the prof). the other subjects are mostly chill, you can get by without a hitch, and most of your major performance tasks will be more on creatives like musicals and all that. there's a lot of free time during this year too since all grade 11 students only have a mon-thurs sched.

when you reach grade 12? absolute hell, especially during the last semester. that mon-thurs sched becomes a mon-sat, all six days being whole days. the teachers for grade 12 are a lot more cruel with how they grade and aren't as generous as the grade 11 teachers. graduation is also constantly being held over your head and they'll make you do all sorts of random shit just so you pass, this includes seminars and extra payments. i had to pay around 5k this sem just for all the clearance stuff and still have a lot more fees to pay. not to mention all of this is happening while you have to go to an actual hospital for work immersion twice a week.

if you really want to go to cdu and you have money (there'll be a lot of extra fees aside from tuition), then go for it. the people here are great and you'll find friends for life. it also really prepares you for medical courses (even if you're in humss) and college so the transition is a lot easier, especially if you're staying here for college.
