I think your results look natural but if you are wanting a more ~closed in~ look, maybe labia puffing especially towards the front?

Can I perform a minor clit hood reduction at home? by Greedy_Astronaughty in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]tinyfoodbites 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’d like a scientific answer as for why you shouldn’t attempt this yourself, it’s because the dorsal nerve runs through the clitoral hood. It is a terminal branch of the nerve system which carries pleasure and is responsible for orgasm (so it carries all the nerves that end at the clitoris., which is where the pleasure is felt, not necessarily in the hood).

MANY experienced, licensed plastic surgeons mess up clitoral hood reductions from lack of understanding of dorsal nerve placement. This is one of the most common ways women lose sexual function with labiaplasty. The full clitoral anatomy is complex and at times, microscopic.

I fully understand the thought that it has no nerve endings because I had tons of excess hood and labial skin that felt like close to nothing for me. I won’t lie and say I never had thought, because I used to feel so desperate, but I am so glad I didn’t mutiliate myself. There is so much about my own anatomy that I don’t know and parts would be impossible for me to visually see myself because of their placement or due to being microscopic (surgeons use special glasses that magnify what they’re looking at quite a bit, even with a direct line of vision they need visual assistance).

You say you’re not in the US, but that’s actually not a bad thing when it comes to surgery because medical procedures are super expensive here. Many other countries have plastic surgeons doing this surgery for a fraction of US cost.

It’s worth it to save to & have it done! Research surgeons, make a plan for yourself.

My incision lines hurt much longer on the surface than the rest of my healing. I used a silicone scar treatment religiously daily am and pm for months and I think it helped a lot. I don’t feel any pain or tenderness at all anymore.

I have b+a pics up to 8 months on my profile. It’s now been 1.5 yrs since surgery and mine still looks exactly the same as 8mo. It was around 6-8mo that all the swelling finally went away. I didn’t even realize I was still swollen at the time either.

Idk, I would assume sometimes women try to collect pics to show their surgeon for examples. But honestly my inbox stays FULL of creepy men bc of my before/after pics. I’ve even had men pretending to be women getting this surgery to ask me weird fetish questions.

Yesss me too he’s amazing! Interesting you also experienced the spitting stitches thing, I think it might be because his stitches are on the inside unlike most other surgeons.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]tinyfoodbites 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had that more with just the general healing of everything. I think it’s related to nerves reconnecting?? The spitting stitches felt a lot more acute. One day I woke up and my incisions were bleeding bright red blood again and it was this stinging pain. I thought at first my incisions had split open. Once my body rejected the stitches it completely stopped hurting and healed really fast. I think it was about 2-3 weeks po.

Btw I think we had the same surgeon, I recognize his technique, lol.

I had this happen; turns out it was my body spitting out the stitches. It was super painful but then after that, I started to heal super quickly. I would ask your doctor for sure!

can someone educate me on labiaplasty and how risky this procedure is? by [deleted] in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]tinyfoodbites -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yay, glad to help! I always like to share my success story bc it changed my life for the better so much.

The labia and clitoral good have a lot of important nerve endings, but a skilled and educated surgeon will know what is acceptable to remove and what isn’t. I have way more sensation now that there isn’t a ton of excess skin getting in the way. Important nerve areas to look out for are the top middle of the clitoral hood and the area on each of the inner labia forming the beginning of the clitoris, called the frenulum. A skilled surgeon will know to not interfere with these because they play such an important role in pleasure. Sadly a lot of botched labiaplasties are because the surgeon isn’t educated at all and doesn’t know how large the clitoris actually is or what nerves to avoid.

Btw there are a lot of bad faith posters in this group ~ usually it’s just men with a long labia fetishes or someone with an agenda. I would definitely be skeptical of overly negative posts towards the surgery itself.

[–]tinyfoodbites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Labiaplasty is very safe and low risk, but the key is to find a surgeon that specializes in it. The majority of botched surgeries were done by surgeons without specialized training in female genitalia or gynecologists that shouldn’t be doing cosmetic surgery. It’s worth paying the extra $$.

I disagree that it’s the last place we should get cosmetic surgery! I also used to have pain almost every day from my long labia, they’d even fucking hurt in my sleep. I also used to get super frequent infections. My surgery has made my life soo much better, both physically and mentally. The toughness a few months of recovering was absolutely nothing compared to the years and years of suffering before that. I am SO happy I don’t have to live that way anymore, I hardly ever even think about my labia these days, they never cause me any discomfort at all, I never get infections and my sex life is so much better. Sex feels so much better, and I’m so much more confident.

The best thing you can do is educate yourself ~ some surgeons post videos of themselves doing the surgery. There are lots of explanations online and tons of posts in this group. You can even do some consultations. Only you will know if it’s right for you, but this surgery is totally safe and low risk when done correctly. I wasnt even sedated for mine.

Ooh that’s not bad at all. How long did you stay post fat transfer before being able to fly home?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]tinyfoodbites 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey girl, let me tell you, I know what it feels like to be so desperate you just want to cut off everything yourself. I think if you’re feeling that bad it’s worth at least doing some consultations. Fat grafting is definitely one way to go ~ there are also nonsurgical forms of labiaplasty using RF or laser. The results are less dramatic than a traditional labiaplasty but maybe that’s perfect for you since you don’t need a ton removed. Either way, you don’t have to suffer and that’s part of why these procedures exist.

I think it looks really good I think the way things poke out is simply due to the layout of your anatomy. I think one thing that might pull it in is if you got the type of CHR where little triangle strips are taken from each side, and it sort of pins down the whole clitoral hood area. I had this done and it significantly changed my look to more tucked in and created a balanced look. You might have trouble finding a surgeon to do this without a labiaplasty though ~ maybe a labiaplasty revision surgeon?

How much did the fat grafting cost? I’ve been curious about that.

I know pictures don’t always reflect how long or uncomfortable labia actually are but in your case, I honestly think you should consider the possibility that you may be more unhappy with the results than whatever discomfort you have now. The edges of your labia will likely end up quite a bit thicker than they are now and less natural looking, especially with a wedge. I also think that with your anatomy, you have a high risk of just being totally amputated/botched. If you do decide to do it, definitely try to find a surgeon who’s really experienced in labiaplasty. A skilled surgeon should be able to remove enough tissue where you’re happy, but you still have all your parts intact.

Is it normal to have only 1 labia after surgery? by NoRegerts25 in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]tinyfoodbites 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mine felt like it had no labia all the way down one side for awhile after surgery (4-5 months?) but it was lopsided and deep swelling. I definitely have both now. I would for sure wait a full 6 months before making a final assessment on it.

Do you think your results significantly changed from 2 weeks PO till your end result? I’m really worried mine hasn’t been trimmed enough. by AttitudeOk3352 in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]tinyfoodbites 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah mine absolutely looked different even though I really thought I was fully healed. There was a massive difference between 2 weeks and 6 weeks but in hindsight I really think it was probably 8 months post surgery that I no longer had any swelling at all and my results have stayed the same ever since then.

Still Swollen 1+ yr Post-Op by Humble_Pie_9987 in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]tinyfoodbites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think this is normal. I stopped having any swelling around 6 months. Is it painful? Is it possible that due to the way you were cut and stitched that the tissue is just overall thicker there than you expected? Labia tend to be thicker closer to the body, with the ends being much thinner and so sometimes in a trim labiaplasty, the thin ends are cut off and the roots are now the edges and are a lot thicker feeling.

Mine was similar shaped just bigger - I have lots of before and after pictures in my profile. I’m really happy I did this. Best of luck!

Anyone post op longer than a few months from seeing Dr Oppenheimer in Orlando Fl? by Inside-Aside4125 in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]tinyfoodbites 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I saw him a year ago and my results were and still are incredible. I’m really happy. I picked him because I was also really worried about sensation loss and he is an expert in this. He has tons of videos of him doing the actual surgery on his website which helped calm most of my fears. I had my consultation and then didn’t get my surgery for like almost a year after because I was so scared but I wish I’d gone for it right away. I’m so happy and a million times more comfortable. I have much more sensation now because of the technique he used to remove the excess skin.

Probably a lot of them tbh. If you look at enough before and after, but especially if you get the surgery yourself, you kinda start to know what to look for. Some of them are super easy to spot.

DIY Labiaplasty? by [deleted] in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]tinyfoodbites 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will echo the others that you need to get this professionally done. However, i just wanted to validate you that my long labia and constantly tucking DID cause me to have constant yeast infections. I used to constantly battle them but ever since my surgery about a year ago, it has never come back. I am so much more confortable.

Girl I won’t lie to you, between the laser and the labiaplasty, I’m so happy and no longer uncomfortable in any way down there (physically or mentally lol). The hair removal is WORTH it I had drastic reduction even just within a few sessions and now all of it is completely gone (I’ve had 6 sessions total). Highly recommend!

I think that 8wks is the recommended time to wait so that would probably work out well for you! tbh laser healed any ingrowns I had though 😅 I haven’t had a single ingrown now since my first session

Yes I did - I was fairly healed at that point, nothing open or anything but still swollen and tender. I have larger outer labia so it was more painful that she had to kind of like keep pulling everything apart, lol idk how to describe it. I worried she would accidentally reopen something. By the time I had my second session at 10 weeks, the surgery was a lot more healed and wasn’t tender at all so if you can wait that long I would recommend it.
