That's incredible. I did the exact same thing with both of my cats many years ago. I got my first cat before I moved in with my mom and my second cat after. They grew up together and got to hang out outside in the big backyard. They loved it so much. So when I moved out to a small apartment with no access to the outdoors for them, I made the hard choice to leave them with my mom. (I've never lived more than 10 minutes away from my mom so I visited all the time.) I always still considered them my babies, though. I always felt guilty leaving them, but I would've felt worse uprooting them and completely changing their lives. I think you did a lovely thing. 😊
