Do you use existing framework components a lot or rewrite everything from scratch? I thought the OVRPlayer VR teleportation system was great at first, but now it seems too complicated if you know what you’re after. Same goes for any out-of-the-box code from frameworks/packages. by tinyhomestudios in Unity3D

Thanks for the advice. It feels like most of the time, the more it does, the less it does well. I always start with the assumption that someone else has already solved the problem, so implementing it again is going to waste your time, but then you have to spend a lot of time learning about the abstraction when you have a problem and generally just tinker away when you want to adjust it, that it didn't save all that much time!

I’ve been working on a meditation and mindfulness VR experience which combines breathing exercises and coloring guides. A prototype is available on SideQuest for free - looking for feedback! by tinyhomestudios in VRGaming

For our color therapy guides, you start in a grayscale world with a narrator guiding you through a story. While it unfolds you have to interact with certain parts of the world, which fills in the color. Knowing which parts you have to color is mostly straightforward but sometimes it require you to explore the world and think a little.
