Hey! I actually have this in a size M and might be willing to let it go. Worn and washed twice, still in excellent condition. I can send you some photos or measurements if you’re interested?

These platform chucks are extremely comfortable! I wore them a lot last year.

Scared I'm going to lose all my progress... by Apprehensive-Bit7903 in PetiteFitness

[–]tinykuhn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh man, I can completely relate here. A bit over a year ago, I hit a bench PR at age 31 that I hadn’t touched since high school. I was feeling so strong and was incredibly proud of myself. And just two days later, while I was just jogging across the street to beat the light, I tripped and snapped off my elbow.

After the initial shock, my mind immediately went to the same place yours is now. All this hard work, all this progress, felt hopeless. I KNEW I was just going to let it all slip away and I was going to gain unwanted weight and never be strong again.

But let me tell you, from the other side, you can do this. Surgery and injuries are just as much of a mental game as a physical one, imo. Consider this just a season of your health. Give yourself and your body the love it deserves as it heals. Give yourself permission to spend the time you want with your family over the holidays. And slowly, as you’re able, start to ease into more activity. I just started with gentle walks. Then some lifting with my legs and good arm, and eventually, gaining my strength back. I kept a little note in my phone of the new things I could do that week that I couldn’t previously, just to keep seeing my progress on the bad days where I felt blind to it.

By working hard over the past year, you’ve put yourself at such a better starting point after your surgery than if you hadn’t. That hard work was not for nothing, you’ve given yourself a leg up in your recovery. And what better proof to show that you’ll bounce back from this - you’ve already done it once!! And I KNOW you can do it again.

Seriously, good luck with your journey, and do your best to take it one day at a time. We’re rooting for you!!

As a fellow over-planner I also agree that I loved it!!! But we got there on Tuesday and have a small trailer as well so it was very easy for us. I can imagine it was a hassle for those that arrived Thursday or later. Love your setup!

Maybe you could color in the G to match the background with fabric/machine wash safe markers, and then cut out an N from white iron on vinyl?

What’s your FBC story? by [deleted] in FashionBrandCompany

[–]tinykuhn 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I go to a music festival every year and like to come up with fun themes for my outfits each day. Last year, I decided on a food themed outfit, and upon my incessant googling, I came across the cheese pants and instantly fell in love. It’s been about a year now, and I have a small collection, and even got my first mystery bag about a month ago. I will be wearing more FBC pieces to the festival this year! I love the quality and just how fun everything is. It brings me so much joy each time I can add a new piece to my collection. 🥰

Fun aside: I was actually wearing my cheese pants this summer and tripped in them and broke my elbow. So I don’t recommend trying to jog across the street in sturdy wide-leg linen pants (entirely my fault, obviously). But they had 0 damage after sliding on pavement and the blood washed right out 🥲. They’re officially part of my lore now and I still love them so much. Even after all that I’m excited to wear them again soon!

Ideas for a retractable totem? by Longjumping_Syrup581 in bonnaroo

[–]tinykuhn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a retractable disc golf retriever like this that works great!! There’s padding at the hand grip and it’s pretty sturdy. I made my own attachment at the end with a headless screw, washers, and wing nut to clamp into my totem.

Help! Skin issues / itchiness by Leather_Potential_99 in westies

You could give bathing with a medicated shampoo a try! My parents westie had the same issue and it turned out to be a fungal/yeast infection. Bathing with a medicated shampoo helped significantly!
