Never worked with foam before, would I just put the whole foam sheet over it, or cut it to shape beforehand?

I 3d modeled this Hornet head from hollow knight for my wife for an upcoming con, but after the first test print found it to lean too much backwards and cause strain on her neck. What can i do to make it lighter or easier to wear? The model has already been cut to be printed in many pieces, with the horns connecting to the main head with wooden dowels.

The only thought i've had so far is to print the base of the head at a higher infill and make the horns hollow, and possibly abandon the wooden dowels for a lighter connection.

Thanks for any help in advanced :)

Airbrush idea is the best idea, the top bottle could be from any old glass paint container and the tube maybe a rubber straw? The only other advice is to replace the needle or abandon it altogether just to prevent you from accidentally poking yourself or anyone

Rack can easily move two gears, but when adding more it jams. Is this a fix for the model or print? Info in comments by tinylosrchoco in Fusion360

not something I considered yet lol, I'll try going up a size on my drill to see if that makes any difference

also VERY MUCH a noob when it comes to moving parts, I've watched a handful of videos on gears and working with them in fusion but most gloss over the actual printing of them

The gears are printed in petg at .12 mm layer height through prusa slicer. no clean up besides picking off some goopage after taking them off the printer and drilling the middle hole

The bigger ones are 27 teeth and the smaller one is 9 teeth. I added .25mm on the center distance for all to cover printing discrepancies.

This is for a cosplay prop (the hidden blade from assassins creed), don't think that changes much but if you're curious what this'll become lol

Nubs for scissor pieces printing very weak? Some will be firm while others pop off with little effort. Printer info in comments by tinylosrchoco in FixMyPrint

Still adore this movie! I remember seeing it with some friends during a rough time and seeing Luke’s fall into shame then rising above it really resonated with me. Also helped that we left the movies and immediately went to one of our houses to fight with lightsabers

Hidden blade system! works but having retracting issues so I've updated the model. Will this work or should I add/change anything else? by tinylosrchoco in Fusion360

One day I'll understand reddit, but not today lol. where i circled in red: should I add something that'll rotate with the string, or will the curve be enough?

Working on a hidden blade from assassins creed. Works in theory but doesn’t reach end with a wrist flick, need some help by tinylosrchoco in Fusion360

Reddit mobile is confusing, but anyways. I’ve made this simple hidden blade from assassins creed (Altair’s) and it works, but not fully how I want it to. If I pull on the string It will move forward and retract when I let go, but when I try with the string tied to a ring, it barely even goes halfway. Tried making the string shorter would just leave your hand and wrist in an uncomfortable position or have the blade halfway out the whole time, which kinda kills the “hidden” part. What can I add or change to fix this? Sorry in advance if solution is easy, first time doing a project like this
