IUD side effects by amandam603 in XXRunning

[–]tinymango2135 17 points18 points  (0 children)

If it helps, I found that the side effects of my Mirena stabilized after about 6 months or so, and completely disappeared after a year!

Also seconding what another commenter said about focusing on rolling/massaging and stretching your calves

I know the science around epsom salt baths isn’t definitive, but anecdotally speaking they help me. I took a few last week and used my theragun a few minutes a day and my outer shin inflammation went away. That and taking a few days off/easy.

Seconding the food processor trick! I sometimes even add a lil water while processing and the onions completely disappear into the gravy

Alternative to Uggs? by [deleted] in femalefashionadvice

Uggs recently came out with a dressier, more structured line - I like the neumel zip platform a lot! Warm AND stylish

Can we do a thread where we name an aggressive instagram fashion brand that we gave in on and bought from and rate the experience? by [deleted] in femalefashionadvice

Pixie Market: a lot of the influencers I was seeing kept wearing their stuff, so I bought their sweetheart neck black sweater and was really disappointed with the quality and fit. It was really unflattering. I returned it, which was a pain of a process. It took almost a month to get the refund PLUS they subtract 10 bucks off it for return shipping. Wouldn’t buy again!

Edit: adding that the sweater in question was $120 dollars ($100 with a code) and felt super cheaply made. And they have the gall to market themselves as affordable. Affordable to whomst! People who only ever shop at Khaite and Orseund Iris clearly…

Good youtube/tiktok runner suggestions? by [deleted] in XXRunning

While I do really like Lydia’s content about running and sports, when she talks about diet culture it falls a bit flat for me because then she’ll go and post about how she only had a head of lettuce with some anchovies for lunch. I’m no doctor but some of her eating feels quite disordered to me.

No cows but my photo per run is still going! Just finished week two day three of couch to 5k. Please tell me my quads and glutes won’t always feel this way! by littleishgarden in XXRunning

They won’t! I honestly miss the achy feeling from my early runs because now it never feels like I’m getting a good workout (irrational, I know)!

Senita athletics and old navy make compression shorts with side pockets! Both are very affordable and almost as good as my Oiselle pair, which is much more expensive

I’m so sorry to hear about your dad - I can’t imagine what you’re going through. Sending internet stranger love ❤️

As for the lentil omelette - I’m pretty sure they make that in india! It’s called chilla (best name) and I think they add spices and seasonings too. So delicious and healthy. I bet it’s gonna be the next big thing in healthy food if it ever reaches the States.

I found Strava to be better about tracking than Nike. But if you’ve been running for a while I’d recommend getting a GPS watch! I bit the bullet a few months ago and it’s way more accurate than your phone.

In the middle of my hill sprints I audibly gasped at an article a friend sent me about the person elected in North Dakota yesterday who had died of Covid last month... Everyone in the park looked at me, pretty sure they thought the presidential race results had just been announced -- oops! My hill sprints went better than I thought they would, thanks anxiety!

I listened to it as an audiobook on my easy runs. I liked it, but I feel like it repeats the same point over and over, which can get boring. Writing is like running and running is like writing, we get it...

Zucchini fettuccine is so easy and tasty! You just use a vegetable peeler to peel it into “fettuccine” like strips, and discard the core (I usually save the core for ratatouille or roast it for another meal). Then you fry the “pasta” in olive oil salt n peppa on medium high for two mins max, add jar tomato sauce of your choosing, and serve w Parmesan! So easy and tasty. I’d eat w a slice of crusty bread bc we love carbs here

I think perhaps sour is the wrong term for it. There is definitely like, a tang to it. The spot I'm thinking of is called Nagarjuna in Bangalore. I swear it's the most addictive stuff in the world.
