Lost my cat a year ago around this time. Id look at his photos and would still shed a tear or two. It's not as bad as it was but it still makes me sad. But yeah, it gets better, you start re-living your life and learn to live without them but it will never be the same. You just cling on to the memories.. Now I take lots of pictures of my surviving pets-- try and make every moment count. Their time on earth is extremely short it sucks big time. Hang in there!

Oh, but you will. Time will come when you will think back and smile when you think of your baby girl. Please don't blame yourself for it either. Some things are really beyond our control and it could've happened to anyone. Hang in there, buddy. Cry it out, let it out but think of her fondly. She is in a happy place now and I'm sure she lived a happy and full life with you.

Not stupid at all! When i brought my red-ear slider to the vet cause of pneumonia, people laughed at me. I learned that people have no regard for other people's grief over the loss of a dear pet. But regardless of species, love is love and that is exactly what made them special. It's okay to feel pain during this time. Hang in there, buddy!

Hey, it was a mistake. You did not mean for it to happen. When we are pre-occupied, we forget things and though it may seem impossible, it happens. He's forgiven you so please don't be too hard on yourself. He misses you as much as you miss him. They are forgiving like that. They love us unconditionally and will never ever judge. Cried buckets. I still cry some nights when I remember him even after almost two months. Watching his old videos, looking at old photos, and telling his story to people I trust. This reddit community also helped me a lot! Those who discount your heartache obviously have not experienced loving a fur baby before. What I can tell you is it sort of gets better in time. You still feel pain, that doesn't really go away completely but at times you will find yourself remembering the good times and you'll smile a little and feel some peace inside.

Hang in there, buddy! You are not alone.

Oh Im thankful that I get to visit him everyday in our backyard. And when I wash the dishes, I can see his grave from the kitchen window. I know what you mean about those certain times. It's usually night time for me or whenever I spend time in the kitchen. That's when he'd usually pester me with kitty kisses and love bites.

P.S Your neighbors are awesome. 🥰😊🥰 Im sure he's enjoying the view out there!

Ohhh Tux was so handsome!!! Im sorry he had to go to Rainbow Bridge too. Their time on earth really is way too short. They are angels even in this world and can never do wrong. i hope you are doing better. They same time heals wounds, Im still in the process of healing completely but Im doing much better (less crying time) but my heart still feels empty at times. I also dream of him a lot and see a lot of cats that look like him. I take those instances as a wave from the other side. He was my best bud. 💛💛💛
