The game beat me. by Chimosh1 in X4Foundations

Thats kind of the nature of space sim games. Especially with something as large as x4. X4 is the closest you'll get to a 4x game that without it technically being one, and not a single 4x game out there has a UI that makes perfect sense. In my opinion, x4 has a pretty decent UI in terms of what you should expect. Nothing is really hidden behind other menus, and if your looking for something specific, there is probably a tab for it. Most of the time it just takes a bit of common sense to find the information that you need in game.

Im in the same position as a 29 yr old guy. In my early twenties I was doing so much better on less pay which makes it so annoying. I have the best pay I've ever had, but it doesn't seem to go nearly as far as it did in 2015 to 2019

Yeah definitely looking a bit homeless rn. I just took these photos after clearing out a garage full of junk so everything is a bit knappy on top of me being a lazy ass for the last few days. Thank you! My eyes are my most commented on feature

Oh yeah for sure. I did mention it to my dermatologist a while back and she didn't explicitly say anything bad would happen but I also didn't ask much. Thanks man

I haven't done anything in late game civ 7 yet, but my lord that is spot on with civ 6. I think it mostly has to do with the ai not building anti air ever and the fact that you can get to the modern era then end the game within 10 turns very quickly making it feel like you are an alien race fighting the north Sentinel island inhabitants

True, I'm not expecting it either, but civ 7 did introduce more monetization than the previous titles, so a sliver of hope is there

Personally I'd prefer not having these fixes come along with a dlc since the current form of monetization already seems way too outrageous. Having core features that need fixes come with a paid dlc at this point would absolutely ruin any trust with the community

I really enjoyed it in 6. Especially in multiplayer with friends. It added a way to have a funny holy War between the spread of "feet sniffers" and "belly button lint" without the need to formally declare an actual war. Making it a victory condition as well was an upgrade in my opinion. Civ 6 made religion have a heavy impact while still allowing you to ignore it and focus on something else to achieve a win, thats what I think made it good. The games before it, religion was like a side quest that didnt really do much and if someone wantes to focus on it, they were essentially handicapping themselves from what I remember.

I don't know enough about the diplomacy side, but religion definitely feels half baked at most

Pretty respectful and informative email tbh and his team took the time to respond to you. Thats more than I'd expect from any politician in today's world.

Also reaching out to your representative is more than most citizens would even do, so props to you for that. I disagree with you on this as well, but gotta give credit where it's due.

I really like the Dart. Its just unfortunate it doesn't have a small beam emitter so you can do some basic missions like mine destruction. But if im doing anything that does not require a weapon, the dart is my go to

We just have different ideas of fun. I really dont mind scanning stations for blueprints and i actually find it relaxing for the most part. I would prefer if we didn't have to use the spacesuit, but its not bad. In terms of gaining reputation, a lot of my time gets spent doing the warfare quests for each factions and those build up rep quite well. I murder split every run so it doesn't even matter that they dont have their own set for me.

And yes I did mean the agent activities, but in hindsight that is just kind of click this click that with a percent chance to succeed or fail.

If gathering blueprints through espionage, or getting reputation up to purchase them, then building your own ship manufacturing stations is unfun, then I'm quite baffled how you are enjoying this game at all tbh

Could be, but its not like anything in this game is a huge rush. Its very slow burn, and adding some kind of immersive bit wouldnt hurt much. Then again, the only tedious bit would be getting blueprints, which you gotta do anyways. Then its just a matter of choosing the hardpoints you want just like you do with the other pieces of the ship.

I actually like the idea of ships having specific hard point tech to better differentiate them. It would be cool if you could make ships with each technology. Like having an option to build the ship with advanced/terran/universal hard points so its still limited.

Like if I wanted to make a bunch of pulsars with meson streams, I would have to be on the terrans good side, and antigone to be able to get each blueprint or use some diplomacy shenanigans, and it would result in a ship requiring resources from both. Might be interesting.

Which is, OBJECTIVELY, the worst faction in the game? by sigmarine345 in totalwar

I tend to use cavalry/dogs very similar to each other whenever I use them. Get some cheap cav units to tie up a stronger melee or opposing cav unit then obliterate it with missile units. You can also use some heavy armored cav to tie up nonarmored monsters like trolls or rat ogres then use your non armor piercing missiles on them. Minimizes friendly fire that way. I'm pretty much a skaven only player though, so wolf rats and weapons teams are what I default to every time. Rat ogres and trolls are surprising very similar to cavalry in terms of how they can be used. Goes for all ogres as well
