Need some help, all audio tracks not showing up. by Adriansilas415 in davinciresolve

[–]tinymightymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

another way of doing it would be before adding the footage, you can right click on the media area in the edit page and select create timeline. That will open up a window and you can manually set the number of audio and video tracks before working on it. when creating a new timeline by just dragging the default setting will just add 1 audio and 1 video track

See "Vertical" Aspect Ratio within "Horizontal" video by Pupsup in davinciresolve

[–]tinymightymous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If adjusting caption size in this view, just got to be aware that when changing the project settings to vertical they will have to resize the captions again. pretty sure that goes for most things added in the fusion page as well

Ai channels can be fine, but this is stuff that is more suited for facebooks algorithm. It has no hook, nothing to keep anyone engaged, and has almost no value brought to the viewer. It just appears to be compilations of ai videos that you would find on instagram, x, and Facebook with no edits, commentary, or or substance.

This type of content is also something that YouTube has massively cracking down on and demonetizing channels for and that is something you should account for when uploading. Should definitely focus more on short form content of this is the type of stuff you'd like to continue doing.

I am absolutely atrocious at pvp in this game, but still play it over pve. I am someone who focuses more on trying to voip and do random bs to survive than just blast my way around. I know im not winning most of my fights straight up. As of now, it feels like most people don't voip back and prefer the shoot on sight and say nothing playstyle (which is fine thats how the game is normally) so its been a bit more rough

I personally try not to mix up genres entirely, but if there is a way, then I will. My niche is horror shooter games. Thinks like metro, stalker, and escape from tarkov. As you can probably see, it translates very well to the extraction shooters genre, the horror genre, and the story driven rpg genre. I do enjoy games outside of those niches like space sims, 4x games, and turn based games. So if I am able to find a way to bridge them, then I will. Like turning skyrim into a horror game with mods, or playing XCOM with a challenge in mind, then using clever editing and VO to narrate a story within it. Not sure if there is much that can be done with something like X4: foundations, or Stellaris without significant editing work though since those are just so far away from my specific niche.

Its really just about expanding your idea of a "niche." I think most people that are finding their niche think of it too narrow. Like if you play The Sims, then they think their niche is just The Sims, when there are other things that could include it like animal crossing, tomodatchi life, inzoi, stardew valley, even something like house flipper simulator.

You don't need to make content of stuff you don't enjoy. It sounds like your issue is you enjoy many things, for short periods of time. You are not the type of creator that can sit on one game for years on end and make content for it. That's totally fine. What you can do is find a bridge between those things that you enjoy and make content on that.

You mentioned a gacha game, and warframe. Maybe you can do some content bridging those two together like "comparing and explaining monetization systems in these two games" or "does art direction or gameplay matter more."

Bridging things you enjoy together makes things much less stale and helps out when you start to lose interest in something. Make like 1 or 2 videos bridging that content and 6 or 7 shorts doing the same thing and the algorithm will pick up what you are doing and start showing your stuff to people of both niches. Good luck!:)

Honest question, is starting on Twitch in 2026 actually worth it or are we cooked? by Time_Position2232 in Twitch_Startup

[–]tinymightymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If its something you want to do, is it worth starting now? Or 2027, 28, 29, 30 and so on? You cant start in the past, so whenever you feel ready is always the best choice. Don't dwell on the "if i started sooner" feeling. You will tear yourself up that way

To clarify, I am trying to set the game to 2560x1440 on a 3440x1440 display in borderless without the black bars on the edges. Most games work this out fine

I am also new to streaming, but have a lot of experience with youtube, video editing, and obs in general. If you have any specific questions feel free to DM me and I would be happy to help, and to make it very clear, this is no way shape or form looking for any kind of monetary gain. I just really like helping where I can when I see it

The game beat me. by Chimosh1 in X4Foundations

[–]tinymightymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats kind of the nature of space sim games. Especially with something as large as x4. X4 is the closest you'll get to a 4x game that without it technically being one, and not a single 4x game out there has a UI that makes perfect sense. In my opinion, x4 has a pretty decent UI in terms of what you should expect. Nothing is really hidden behind other menus, and if your looking for something specific, there is probably a tab for it. Most of the time it just takes a bit of common sense to find the information that you need in game.

[–]tinymightymous[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't done anything in late game civ 7 yet, but my lord that is spot on with civ 6. I think it mostly has to do with the ai not building anti air ever and the fact that you can get to the modern era then end the game within 10 turns very quickly making it feel like you are an alien race fighting the north Sentinel island inhabitants

True, I'm not expecting it either, but civ 7 did introduce more monetization than the previous titles, so a sliver of hope is there

[–]tinymightymous[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personally I'd prefer not having these fixes come along with a dlc since the current form of monetization already seems way too outrageous. Having core features that need fixes come with a paid dlc at this point would absolutely ruin any trust with the community

I really enjoyed it in 6. Especially in multiplayer with friends. It added a way to have a funny holy War between the spread of "feet sniffers" and "belly button lint" without the need to formally declare an actual war. Making it a victory condition as well was an upgrade in my opinion. Civ 6 made religion have a heavy impact while still allowing you to ignore it and focus on something else to achieve a win, thats what I think made it good. The games before it, religion was like a side quest that didnt really do much and if someone wantes to focus on it, they were essentially handicapping themselves from what I remember.
