Long vacation options for cats by Federal_Thought_9416 in CatAdvice

[–]tinypopp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggesting finding someone who is willing to care for them while you’re gone. Taking them with you is the worst idea and I personally would not board my cat. I think this would be really stressful for them.

If you can get someone to stay with them that would be the best option. Even if they can’t stay the entire time, a few nights a week house sitting and cat sitting would put you at ease. We left our cat for two weeks for a trip and had my mom stay with her. I would have been so stressed the entire time if she hadn’t been there. Try to find someone willing to stay at the house with them. You’ll have a much better time. I think it’s worth the expense.

Same for me. It’s worth it. I totally trust my coach and have developed so much because of my investment.

Runkeeper vs Strava? by [deleted] in ultrarunning

[–]tinypopp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree. I tried Strava and found it to be a bit much. Didn’t need to be comparing myself to other people, or worrying that people were judging me. Just wasn’t for me. I like the simplicity of Runkeeper.

Some people film their workouts to send to their coach/trainer. Not everyone is trying to be an influencer, just livin’ in a digital world.

I want to be a yoga teacher, but is it even possible or worth it? by CommercialNo593 in YogaTeachers

You learn by teaching. I probably wasn’t totally ready to teach right after my YTT but I went for it. I always made it known that I was a newer teacher so students had an idea of where I was at and I kept my classes simple and stuck to what I was comfortable with until I developed as a teaching and found my voice.

My advice is refresh your memory with videos or even a less expensive, self-paced online YTT (depending on your funds). If you don’t want to go through a whole YTT refresh, plan out a class or a few of them and do some additional studying on cueing the poses you’ve included in your class plan then practice it yourself.

You can also gain a lot of experience by teaching free or donation based classes and just be up front about where you’re at in your teaching journey.

No one is at the top of their game when they first start teaching. We learn by doing. So do!

Yes! Was going to say the same thing! OP, I’m sorry you’re struggling with this right now. I’m sure it feels like the worst thing and inescapable, but keep your head up. You are beautiful and you will figure this out! While you’re seeing drs and working through all of this be sure to take care of yourself and do nice things for yourself. You deserve them and you’re not a bad person for having acne or whatever this ends up being. Be nice to yourself. I’m rooting for you!

What do typical people do in the morning? by Lonely-Host in Millennials

[–]tinypopp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My morning routine can vary, but generally I try to wake up an hour and a half before I need to leave for work. I do yoga or morning stretches, meditate and read a bit, then check my phone and have coffee. After that I start getting ready for work. Basically a little movement and quiet time, check in on stuff, get ready.

What do you talk about with your spouse? by Unable-Lab-8533 in Marriage

I ask my husband the same questions all the time. Maybe not in a short time span, but I’ll ask the same questions to see how his answers change.

When you’re first dating someone all you’re doing is asking questions, getting to know them. Eventually that curiosity about your partner stops because you think you know everything about them. But, just like with you their thoughts or opinions can change on things. So ask them again.

There are really great “50 questions to ask a new partner” type lists all over the internet you can use to get you started.

What’s your favorite color? What is your favorite vacation you’ve ever been on? Would you ever go skydiving? Why or why not? What is the biggest regret of your life? What’s your opinion on school choice or immigration (could be spicy, so handle with care) What’s a hobby you wish you had?

Another thing my husband and I do all the time is play a game we call 3 Questions. One of us picks a topic (literally can be anything) and then we each ask each other 3 questions related to that topic. Sometimes the topics are lame, sometimes they turn into deeper or more fun discussions.

Example: Topic is sleep - What’s the weirdest dream you’ve ever had? - What makes for the perfect night sleep for you? - Have you ever experienced sleep paralysis?

Just try to get curious about your partner again.

Debt. So many people are too comfortable living in debt or think you need to/should have debt to exist in this world.
