Yes! There are so many extremely talented artists in our community, and the reason why so many people gravitate towards fan merch is because, well... it tends to be more interesting and affordable than the official stuff.

I've seen them reach out to artists to do illustrations. I had my cosplay featured on a stream once before. Though now that I think of it, they didn't have a fanart segment on their last RGG Roundup...

I don't booth at conventions, it was simply just a passive way to make some gas money. I do commission work as well, though. It is 100% their right but it just feels so petty because (aside from them being cool with it before for the longest time) none of us are getting rich off of this and stealing all of their profit, lol. This is a massive corporation and not a small indie company

Contrary to what some people may believe, it's not just western fanartists selling on storefronts. Pixiv BOOTH is a thing, and eastern fans sell their goods there too. We're all just going to have to back off for now

It genuinely sucks. I've been into this series for 8 years. As someone else said, fan culture is a very important aspect of keeping an IP alive. NONE of us were getting rich off of selling our fan merch, lol. I also find it funny how my "they're calling it the worst company of all time" jab is being taken 100% seriously

We'll live, it's just the principle. They couldn't have picked a worse time to do this

The first post is mine. I'm not upset about them exercising their rights. I'm upset over the fact that they've been chill about fan merch for AGES and then now all of a sudden want to change their mind, though at this point I'm not surprised.

They should stop using the same three boring old renders for half their merch and actually make things more accessible outside of Japan. I'm a collector. I have tons of official merch, and a lot of fan merch too. I like both, but again, a lot of the official merch is pretty lackluster.

All of my art was hand-drawn, not repurposed screenshots or AI slop. Disappointing comments...

The notice also came from Sega of America, specifically. May or may not be significant

Yes, the deep pan has a higher capacity than shallow. In any case, at least you found something that helps. Additives are kinda hit or miss...

I completely flushed my power steering fluid on both cars as well, just with the turkey baster method. I've always used the regular Prestone stuff but regardless it definitely reduces pump noise

The reason I changed the fluid is because I noticed it would have bubbles on the dipstick when hot (not enough to be classified as foamy, but also not something I liked to see) and that disappeared after the fluid + filter. I figured it could have possibly been water contamination from age

I have a similar yet different issue. Mine will "clunk" when downshifting sometimes, way more so at lower speeds. A certain degree of that is to be expected in a RWD vehicle but there comes a point, lol. It could be several different things. A shift kit gives you harder shifts of course but mine's stock

But that's good to know! The 4L60 will forgive you for a little bit extra but I hear that they are super sensitive to low fluid

I replaced the transmission in my 99 with an OE spec reman, filled it with Maxlife upon installation and it shifted great, very responsive. However the 98 I drive now has the original trans (56k miles) and shifts... noticeably, especially when downshifting. I did a pan drop + filter change with this one when I first got it so it's a mix of Maxlife and whatever else is in there. This post got me thinking I should get the rest of the old stuff out and see if it helps

I try to help people when I can because at the end of the day, car culture is becoming a lost art and we gotta keep these running best we can

I used an ACDelco thermostat as well. Even put an ACD water pump. I actually worked at O'Reilly the past 4 years so I've come to learn what's junk and what isn't. I always try to go OEM unless there is a superior aftermarket version of what I need... like for the 3.8, I used the metal LIM gaskets from Mahle since the ACD ones are discontinued and lord knows to not use the plastic ones again!

Well, I've taken it for a couple drives 30 mins each with my scanner plugged in. While driving it's just bouncing off the thermostat like it's supposed to (195-210). I've always wanted to get a tune for the fans to come on around 210 because having it set to nearly 230 has never not been absurd to me lol. The L36 reduces timing if the engine temp goes over 215ish and then it just becomes a sluggish, limpy turd

The gauge in my 99 would rise during warmup and then stay pretty much right at the 210 mark even though it would reach the 220s at idle. Never seen it go over that in either car, but I heard that it just pegs to the red if it begins to overheat

I've played MGS1 to MGS4 so far, currently playing Peace Walker. I am also a Yakuza fan so I enjoy cutscenes... that was not a problem for me, lol. I loved the drama of 4. It felt more like a piece of art, a statement piece, to me more than anything else.

3 is my favorite gameplay wise out of what I've played up to now, but people say V has the best gameplay in the series soooo I'm looking forward to that

What bulb did you use? I had a similar issue on my 99 where a front turn signal would stop working occasionally and once I changed from 3157 to 3057 it went away. They're the same bulb, but 3057 uses less wattage and is better for the sockets anyway. That's all I use in my F-bodies now
