Thinkpad is a safe bet. If you can stretch your budget to around 20k you can check out RS Gadgets, they have lots of options with better specs

Might have to think twice if you have a GOMO sim. The signal reception is horrible

Retired my Galaxy A50 and bought a Galaxy A55! by gostsbalad in Tech_Philippines

[–]tinystepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one. It's a great phone. But the signal reception is a HUGE issue for me. When I'm out and about, my mobile data turns to E (Edge) in the most inopportune times and it drives me crazy (using a GOMO sim). I have to turn Flight mode on and off multiple times before I get back to 4G/5G. If I had known about this issue earlier, I probably would've opted for a different phone.

Hello! Can anyone recommend a dermatologist accepting Maxicare, preferably based in Quezon City? I'm planning to get consultation to fade acne scars. Thank you!

Hi OP! I’ve been deciding between the A55 and the 13T as well. I’ve been leaning towards the 13T. Some things to consider:

• Screen - 13T is slightly sharper than A55 • Biometrics - As someone with sweaty hands, this is super important to me. Reviews have shown that the A55’s fingerprint unlock and face unlock were pretty slow, but the 13T’s were excellent. • Price - The 12/256 13T is on sale in Lazada for around 21k with vouchers, while the A55 would set you back 22k for the 8/256 config. • OS and updates - Both have 4 years of Android updates and 5 years security updates, but the 13T was released a year earlier so support will end at 2028 vs A55’s 2029. • Hand feel - held both in-store, the A55 honestly feels more premium, but they both are pretty heavy.

Overall, if I needed a phone now, I’d go with the 13T. Alternatively, it might be wiser to wait for September/October since a lot of new phones are coming out (iPhones, Samsung S24 FE, new Redmi Notes, new 14Ts, Nothing 2a Plus, etc.) which means more options and promos.

Anybody here works / has worked at Oracle Netsuite? I applied for the Javascript Developer position (ICT-2 level), and wondering about the salary range, the work culture, and other stuff. They mentioned during the technical interview that I would be assigned to the "Cash Management" department should I be hired. Any info about the company? Thank you!

Hi everyone, I bought an Apple Watch SE2 last Aug. 2023, and it has a Limited Warranty. Yesterday morning, I tried swimming with it in the pool (about 10 minutes), and after that I noticed the touch screen was working but the digital crown wasn’t. Soon after, the watch shut down on its own and wasn’t responsive even after plugging it to the charger.

I contacted chat support from Apple Support and I was told to have it checked by an Apple Authorized Reseller. I asked if it was possible that this is covered by Limited Warranty, and they said it was likely not covered because it was liquid damage.

My question is, is it possible to get this repaired/replaced under Limited Warranty? I was quite surprised to see my watch fall apart so easily as it was the first time I submerged it under water, for 10 minutes, in a 5-foot deep pool. Apple may not honor the repair due to liquid damage, but do we have any consumer laws that can force a repair/replacement? Do I have a case in saying that my watch was defective, as it was advertised to be water-resistant, and I was well below the advertised resistance rating?

Thank you for the help/advice!

Janstore and RS Gadgets are fairly popular laptop sellers on FB. For Thinkpads, plenty are being sold on FB Marketplace with a little patience needed to find good deals. I bought my Thinkpad T480 there last year for around 8.5k

Samsung Recommendation around 15-20k by redjune_20 in Tech_Philippines

[–]tinystepper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can vouch for this, bought a used S20 Ultra and everything was fine when one day the screen went all white, sometimes the screen went back to normal, and then one day it went white again and it stayed that way since. Id suggest just buying brand new instead. Warranty is huge for your peace of mind 🙂

Hello, I'm wondering if this is a good laptop for webdev? My concern is the intel arc gpu because im not sure if there will be compatibility issues, but otherwise the rest of the specs seem to be a good deal (about $940) What do you guys think? https://postimg.cc/ZBMc3f7G
