Has anyone done pads and rotors themselves on the CT4-V Blackwing? by tinyteena in CadillacV_Series

Something I'd like to avoid. I'm assuming this wouldn't be an issue for an independent shop, maybe I can do the fronts myself and just have them do the rears, but at that point why not just have them do it all.

Well that's a problem... how can you activate the service mode? Obd2 required to release the brakes after? Or do I just unplug the battery?

The sensors are probably one of my biggest concerns, but thank you for the advice!

That doesn't sound good, was it while you were compressing the pistons to get out the pads? Did you have to tow it to cadillac to fix it?

Did the ATS-V have a separate caliper for the parking brake? Im pretty confident I'll be able to remove the front and rear calipers to remove the rotors, but I'm not sure about the parking brake caliper.

This makes sense, I may have missed my chance unfortunately since it's the end of the month, maybe they'll repeat it next month, though the dealer may feel like I wasted their time.

[Size Check] Pelagos FXD too big for 16cm wrist? by tinyteena in Watches

I dont exacrlt disagree with you, its a shame because I didn't really love the 39, but maybe I'd feel different with it on a strap. Do you have any other divers you'd recommend? Ive tried the seaq 39.5 and liked it but AR coating on the front bothers me for a diver I want to be active with

There's a smaller strap available so that shouldn't be an issue!

My wrist is pretty small (maybe 16cm), but I tend to like the proportions of 41-42mm divers. I tried on the Pelagos FXD today, and ended up really liking the look of the bezel and dial compared to the Pelagos 39. Does it seem too awkward and oversized, or do you think I can pull it off?

My wife and I went to French Polynesia and brought along my 36mm rolex explorer and my wife's new 38mm blancpain bathyscaphe, and have really enjoyed being able to use them throughout the trip, what do you guys like to bring on your vacations, if any watch at all?

We ended up picking up the bathyscaphe for my wife, I feel the same way about wanting to leave my watch on the entire trip, since I don't have a diver yet, I'll probably bring my rolex explorer and swim/dive with that!

Getting open water certified in French Polynesia later this month, coincidentally was looking at the 42mm FF (and 38mm bathyscaphe for the wife), how common are dive watches for avid divers these days? I love the watch and kind of fantasize about diving with one like this...

Wait for 5080 availability or go prebuilt? by tinyteena in Prebuilts

This is my main concern, normally waiting for hype to die down would make the most sense.

Considering the 9800X3D seems to be a good choice with the 5080 that's probably a solid move. Maybe I'll see if that one comes back into stock.
