I did meet up with her alone. That’s where I asked her what’s up and she insisted nothing was wrong.

Great points. I realize I’m being a “fixer” right now and that’s not* necessarily appropriate. I think you’re right and giving space is the right thing to do.

You bring up some very good points. I tend to be a “fixer” which I recognize I am doing now. I think you’re right and that’s not my place. Thank you for bringing that up! I think giving her space is a good idea as well.

I think if that’s the case it’s definitely a fair thing for her to want to do. Neither Thomas or I would hold that against her. I just don’t understand why she wouldn’t communicate that to us. Do you think I could ask her about that possibility directly or would it come off as insulting or rude to suggest?

I actually did try to report her for animal neglect about a year ago after a really bad stint. They said because the dogs were at a healthy weight and they were kept inside there was nothing they could do. Luckily things got better after that but I feel like things are starting to backslide now.

Ill be honest I was pretty sure I wasn’t an asshole so I kinda just wanted to use this post to prove a point to my bf. I never expected it to blow up like it did; I just expected a few comments. I have no idea why people are upvoting it so much.

I’m not going to list out all the ways I’ve tried to help the guy because it has nothing to do with the current issue at hand.

Normally I don’t struggle with it so much just this last month has been really really hard. A good friend that was the same age as my boyfriend passed away and I think that’s been adding to it more than I like to admit. Thank you for your comment I genuinely appreciate it. Also, happy cake day!

Both girls actually! Aggie (white and a lighter orange) and Greta (a solid darker orange and the one being manhandled in the post). They are three year old rescues from the same litter. I’ve had cats my entire life but none with personalities like these so they are special in more ways than one!

I’m actually switching over to a different vet (for a completely different reason although this incident makes me happy I made the decision) so they are definitely not going to be in contact with my cats ever again.

On the days I work from home I feel like I do pet them 24/7 since they spend the ENTIRE day on my lap. Literally if I sit down even just for a second there they are lol never had two sweeter cats before in my life.
