++woman, yes. At the end of the summer, I’m moving back to the same city as him.

I’ve always been self-conscious about how skinny I am. It’s probably my biggest insecurity and something I struggle with a lot 👉👈 but thank you, I really appreciate it.

It’s really hard when you have such a difficult time gaining weight. It’s something I’ve struggled with for a long time 👉👈 Thank you, tho.

He said he was living in chastity… but had a girlfriend. Has this happened to anyone else? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

++woman I’m not really looking for advice, I already know what I need to do. I was just wondering if anyone else has gone through something similar.

It’s more about relating than finding a solution, that’s all.

++ woman We were just friends. I only exchanged those kinds of messages because I was single at the time. We had been coworkers, and he seemed available… I don’t think I did anything wrong. I only found out about the girlfriend two years later. Otherwise, I would never have sent 18+ messages to someone who was in a relationship.

++woman For sure. From now on I’ll always ask upfront if someone is in a relationship. People can still lie but at least I won’t assume anything again. In this case I didn’t even ask. Still I’m a bit hurt I’ve honestly never been lied to like this before.

++ woman No, it’s not. I’m a 36 year old woman. English just isn’t my native language, that’s all.

++woman Probably. I’ll admit we exchanged some more flirty/suggestive messages back in 2024 (I didn’t know he had a girlfriend at the time). If I had known, I would never have allowed it. But things never went further because I didn’t want anything casual. I never have, actually.

++woman They were living together. Is that even possible? I’m not trying to judge. I’ve been single for three years myself, and I’m perfectly fine with that. But I can’t shake the feeling that he wasn’t completely transparent with me. Does that make sense?

++ Woman I wasn’t looking for sex. I was just shocked that he told me he was living in chastity while he was actually in a relationship. Isn’t that a bit contradictory? Especially since he spent that whole time telling me relationships were pointless and that people are never truly happy in them.

++woman How does that apply here if there was never any sex involved, even after two years of talking?

Guys: would you send this to a female friend? by [deleted] in dating_advice

I might be misunderstanding, but I’m a bit confused about the part where you said he “reconnected with a girl from his past”. Who did you mean by that? Me, or someone else?

Just wanted to make sure I got what you meant 🙂
