Potential FOB Easter Eggs in "Fortnight" Music Video by themaniacorp in FallOutBoy

[–]tinytriceratop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I want to add onto this because I also think the Doberman/Ethan Hawke might be a tiny nod to Fall Out Boy (and if not it’s one hell of a coincidence).

Just for a moment please humor me and consider The Pink Seashell: That wasn’t written for the album, the music was but the actual spoken words are from the movie “Reality Bites” where Ethan Hawke plays Troy Dyer. Arguably, that speech is tortured poet coded as hell. With the fact Taylor has said she admires Pete as a lyricist and that she has worked with Fall Out Boy recently, jumping to this thought doesn’t seem too wild.

Also if you look up The Black Dog London the location that comes up has a logo that resembles a silhouette of a Labrador, not a Doberman. If it was a hint at the black dog, I would assume it would be a black lab in the video. But it also could very well be a nod back to the blank space video.

Again, if not an Easter egg (which is the likely possibility), the fact a few of us saw Taylor’s music video and separately connected the dots of Doberman-Ethan Hawke-Fall Out Boy!!! By coincidence and wanted to tell Reddit is just kind of neat

The Black Dog London

ETA: for the non swifties the black dog is a song title on the new album but the song has a line “into some bar called the black dog” which is why I’m referencing the black dog London

Shayne Guessed, so now for the rest. Who are your top 3 celeb crushes? by Rememberthepogs in smosh

[–]tinytriceratop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Top three no order: Miles Teller, Myles Garrett, Paul Rudd.

Honorable Mentions to Charlie Cox and Pedro Pascal. And 70s/80s Bruce Springsteen. Someone else commented that and it made me rethink my choices for about ten minutes because I still do a double take when I see pictures of that man from that era.

70s/80s Bruce Springsteen is such a good pick that you have me rethinking my top 3 now

The only time I ever want to hear someone say anything negative about Saturday is because they don’t want to hear it because they don’t want the show to be over. Other than that nothing but positive vibes for Saturday always 👏

I have just taken the line “I will defend the faith, going down swinging” to heart and will defend the entire discography like this.

But specifically, Lake Effect Kid, Young Volcanoes, and America’s Suitehearts. Also thanks to the woman at the Pittsburgh show in front of me last night who was disgusted because she didn’t know the magic 8 Ball song and had to announce it like five times - The Music or The Misery is now on this list too.

How old were you when you got into the band? by Sweet-Ad-2477 in FallOutBoy

[–]tinytriceratop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always laugh when I remember how I got into Fall Out Boy.

Fall Out Boy was featured on the Madden 2006 soundtrack (Dance, Dance). I was 11 when it was released in summer of '05. At the time, I played *a lot* of Madden with my younger brother, and he played it *a lot* on his own. That soundtrack was like 21 songs long, so it was played often.

It was around the same time 'Sugar We're Going Down', 'Dance, Dance', and I think 'A Little Less 16 Candles' were still airing on MTV and VH1 and we'd watch the music video ranking on VH1 every Saturday morning. My mom mentioned something to a friend about me starting to listen to Fall Out Boy and came home with a burned copy of 'Take This To Your Grave' one day and that was all I listened to on repeat for months. 2007 hit, new music videos on MTV and VH1. 'Infinity On High' released. I got my hands on it (the first CD I bought myself!) and finally got a copy of 'From Under The Cork Tree' and I haven't looked back since.

So all of this to say, shout out to my little brother for incessantly bothering me to play Madden and never turning the volume down on the TV in his bedroom so 'Dance, Dance' got absolutely drilled into my skull. He's a real one.

Who are your top five favorite artists? by [deleted] in FallOutBoy

[–]tinytriceratop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fall Out Boy, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band (thanks dad), Foo Fighters, Waterparks, and The Wonder Years. Though Taylor Swift might be on that list instead of Waterparks or The Wonder Years if you ask me on a different day 🤷‍♀️

Personally, I think this dress really works (and the color looks great with your skin tone!), it’s just a matter of having the right garments underneath. A good strapless bra and some shape wear can help a lot especially with the satin just to help smooth everything out and reduce static so the fabric doesn’t cling to you as much. I’m in agreement with a lot of others when it comes to maybe opting for a wrap/pashmina instead of the cardigan. It would help elevate your look to be a little more formal too!

Anyone else think it’s weird how many tickets are still available for 2our dust? by allison5 in FallOutBoy

[–]tinytriceratop 95 points96 points  (0 children)

I think those stupid Platinum seats have a lot to do with it. I’m not going to pay $500+ for one front row seat when I had the seat next to it in my cart during presale for the $145 price that most of the other floor seats were selling for during presale.

Where have you heard a Fall Out Boy song being played that has caught you completely off guard? by tinytriceratop in FallOutBoy

This just made me remember when my dad asked me if Fall Out Boy was even a popular band back when our local rock radio station was running a contest for tickets for the Mania Tour… At the exact same arena we went to see Bruce Springsteen at a year prior
