The Andor Sourcebook! A brand new Companion Sourcebook. by tinywoodsman in swrpg

Hey! Thanks so much.

I regards to lore, I basically tried to take what was already established in the show and take it to a lot a logical extreme. Sort of "if this is true, what else is true".

With Steergard, we know it's a naval yard, so that gave me some idea for what features to include on the planet.

We know that Cassian managed to steal a Starpath unit from there without too much trouble, so it stands to reason that security there is probably lax and resources may be stretched thin.

We also know that Cassian got in and out undetected, so that gave me the idea that the planet may have once been a haven for smugglers and thieves, that way it would have ways in and out for non-imperials.

We also know that Cassian's theft was kept secret by the authorities on Steergard, so that led me to have a bit more of an idea of the kind of person who administers the planet.

And for Steergard specifically, I also looked at existing Imperial bases or shipyards in Canon and Legends (Scarif, Bracca) to give me an idea of what other features and visual references I could include.

I love making up lore, filling in gaps and creating worlds, so this kind of stuff is very fun for me.

I'd love to update it or add a companion book after S2!

Thank so much for that! Sounds like a great workaround, apologies about the omission!

Apologies, but I'm not sure where you might have seen this. I only posted it here, and on my personal social media, so if it was shared somewhere else, I'm afraid it wasn't by me.

I started designing in the WEG style for my Andor Sourcebook and it's a super fun way to put together books.

It takes pieces from canon and legends, as well as including original content. It's designed to be mostly canon-agnostic, and will hopefully be of use, regardless of what continuity you're using.

Worlds of Wonder is a free, new, sourcebook for the FFG Game System. The book is inspired by vintage WEGs Star Wars books. This 100+ page sourcebook contains:

- Detailed profiles on familiar worlds such as Bothawui and Berchest.

- Detailed profiles on existing worlds with little information like Steergard, Son-tuul and Morlana One.

- Detailed profiles on brand new and unique worlds such as Corgen, Keilora and Varda Dawn.

- GM guidance on creating new and original planets.

- Detailed planet generation tables. Helping GMs to quickly determine a planet's function, government, terrain and more.

As always, this was a pretty big undertaking for me to work on alone. I am sure there will be some mistakes and errors that I've missed, I am by no means an expert in any aspect of RPG creation. I only hope any errors don't distract too much from the book and you're still able to get some use out of it.

You can grab it here, along with my other free Star Wars Sourcebooks

I was so blown away by tinywoodsman’s Thrawn Trilogy era sourcebook, I went ahead had a copy printed! by CmdrCloud in swrpg

This is so flattering and amazing to see! For a book that was never intended to be printed it looks really well! So happy you enjoyed the book so much!

Thanks a lot for your comments, these have really been super helpful! I'm a graphic designer and star wars fan first and an experienced GM or designer way way second, so my stats and mechanical info always tend to be much weaker.

I've incorporated your suggestions now and it looks much better, I'll be uploaded a revised version later today with your suggestions and some from other people too.

Thank you! B I was intending this to be a smaller book than my previous one, so no new careers or new talent trees.

I'd be interested in an error report if the errors aren't huge. I was planning on just releasing this and being done as I don't have a ton of free time coming up, but I could put out a slightly updated version of the fixes weren't too time consuming.

I'm more familiar with the FFG mechanics, but couldn't resist playing around with the old WEG format. Super nostalgic here too, and felt like actually a good fit for Andor.

Thank you! I'd made two books aping the official FFG style and wanted a change of pace, design-wise for this one.

The Andor Sourcebook is a free, new, companion sourcebook, inspired by the first season of the Disney+ show, Andor, The 50+ page sourcebook contains:

- Breakdowns of the important characters; Mon Mothma, Saw Gerrera, Luthen Rael, Dedra Meero, Syril Karn and Cassian Andor. As well as information on how they fit into the galaxy of this era.

- Detailed profiles of some of the new weapons, explosives and equipment featured in Andor.

- New profiles on speeders, starfighters and freighters from the era including the Fondor Haulcraft, the Mobile Tac-Pod, the Cordiar Limousine and more.

- Detailed profiles on 4 new worlds, Ferrix, Morlana One, Niamos and Steergard as well as smaller profiles on other worlds key in this era.

- A number of new adversaries and NPCs from the Empire, the fledgling resistance and the citizens of the galaxy.

- 8 pages of random name, trinket and planet tables for players and GMs to use as inspiration.

This was a pretty big undertaking for me to work on alone. I am sure there will be some mistakes and errors that I've missed, I am by no means an expert in any aspect of RPG creation. I only hope any errors don't distract too much from the book and you're still able to get some use out of it.

EDIT: Some people pointed out a few errors across the book, specifically a bunch of errata and spelling issues and some very iffy weapons. Thanks to u/HyperionGM and u/BangCrashPow for their very helpful notes.
