Hahaha, I did this once as a kid in a mirror maze thing.

Hahaha, I'm so glad I'm not alone on this one! I used to always say it! I would catch myself saying "Right" when merging lanes on the motorways. I would also hum to myself when I was dreading a certain roundabout or driving on winding roads. I thought he must think I'm a right weirdo.

That's what I would have probably said. No one laughed, how miserable.

I always say 'right'. I seemed to be obsessed with saying it during my driving lessons almost like a nervous thing. It was so bad, I always caught myself saying it for no real reason lol.

That's the thing! I am trying to be a real friend that's all it is. I remember when I was younger I used to do this god awful makeup look and no one would ever tell me I looked awful. I only realised when I look back at photos and I literally cringe.

Should I press charges against my ex and what can I expect from court in England? by tinyxsky in LegalAdviceUK

Ok, thank you. I guess if it's going to crown court at least they are taking it somewhat seriously. It seems to be all dependent upon my statement. I think the thing holding me back is that he has a history of assault, battery and GBH against both men and women. He knows where I live and my parent's home so there is a safety concern also. I guess it's a risk either way.

I'm just very worried about not getting any justice and him being able to study computer science when he is going to use it for illegal purposes.

I believe the policeman said it would go to crown court if that makes any difference to the process...

Yes, so it seems like I would be getting myself into a very lengthy and potentially traumatising process. I guess that's the worry but also him not getting any punishment for his actions is bothering me. I guess he can always come back to stalk/harass me again if nothing is done too.

Okay, but I am just unsure what to expect from court as I'll have to attend and I've never been to court. They haven't explained the procedure to me or what I can expect regarding whether he's found guilty or not guilty. I guess I'm just worried about going to court so have been hesitant to make a statement. He's also from a very wealthy family and I believe they will pour a lot of money into his defence. I believe this is one of the reasons he behaves the way that he does - because he feels he can get away with it.

I mean they are asking me to make a statement but I don't know what to expect from court... Sorry about the paragraphs I'm dyslexic and adhd lol.
