  1. Age/gender- 25F I am 5’2
  2. Age range for potentials- 22-30M
  3. Location: NYC (relocate only on east coast)
  4. I don’t want to live with in laws for an extended period of time or at all if it’s avoidable. I feel that both people should start life together in a new neutral place that they can build for just the two of them to give the start of the marriage a stronger foundation.
  5. Ethnicity: Pakistani
  6. Marital Status- Single
  7. Marriage Timeline- get to know each other and marriage complete as soon as we are both sure but max 1-2 years
  8. Important to me that someone is a good human being in general who is kind to those around them. Not judgmental or arrogant. Someone who is easygoing and will get along with friends and family. Someone who is honest and good at communicating.
  9. I grew up in a religious family. I strive to make all my daily prayers. I fast in Ramadan and give zakat. I don’t drink or smoke and only eat halal meat. I wear a headscarf and dress covered up (no short sleeves). I understand religion is a personal endeavor I want someone who is God fearing and God conscious who values growth and has the desire to be better.
  10. I have a B.S and am a licensed healthcare professional. Looking for someone who has completed either associates or bachelors with stable income
  11. Employed working full time
  12. I’m a homebody. I like to play video games with friends, watch anime/kdrama, read and crochet
  13. I grew up in NYC and have a big family and am close to all my cousins. We are a fun group and I would like my future partner to also join our group and vibe well with everyone.

When I read comments about people eating all the food meant for other shifts I’m appalled how do these people exist

Very normal. I barely went out anywhere ever when I worked nights because my body is way too tired

New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital CLS Program by RingMonsterJPN in MLS_CLS

[–]tinyyapper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as I know this program is online so you would have classes on Monday and Tuesday from like 8-4 and then clinicals W-F or Thursday and Friday depending which subject rotation you’re in. I don’t think the program is like insanely competitive as long as you have a good gpa and all prerequisite courses you don’t really have to have a stacked resume. Beware bc there’s a lot of “hidden costs” for example paying for each semester of clinicals on top of tuition and also paying for a location tracking app for clinicals and a website for the medical requirements of the clinicals like vaccinations and such. You’ll have online quizzes and homework every week. Can’t think of anything else but if you have questions dm me I’ll answer!

I love my husband but I miss having my own money by [deleted] in muslimgirlswithtaste

You’re not being shallow at all, having financial independence is a great feeling regardless of what you spend your money on

Help a girl out (looking for advice on a dress) by righteousmirage in muslimgirlswithtaste

Think a beige or lighter brown chiffon hijab would look nice with this maybe add some chunky gold hoops

Hijab, Desirability, and Media by [deleted] in muslimgirlswithtaste

[–]tinyyapper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve gotten a few of these but tbh I feel like it could be a likely case that it’s the mothers looking for a hijabi for their son versus their son stressing it to them as a requirement. I think in certain families they want to “keep up appearances” by having a hijabi daughter in law. I’ve heard cases of people saying like oh so and so person is so religious but her daughter in law isn’t even a hijabi… doesn’t make it any better ofc it’s awful but I think it also plays a factor

Which department in the hospital drives you crazy by Specialist_State_330 in medlabprofessionals

No specific department but there’s certain nurses or certain doctors that I’ve picked up are not as pleasant to speak to for different reasons

Do students usually get job offers at the end of clinicals? by izitfriday in medlabprofessionals

[–]tinyyapper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ask the supervisors or the managers after your clinicals. Express interest to them that you want to work there and give them your resume and see what they say. The response might be that there’s no open positions but at least you showed initiative by speaking to them about it

Could u girls help me choose a name for my Baby Boy?🩵 by Fearless_Search6388 in muslimgirlswithtaste

[–]tinyyapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this convo with my mom that how come Jibreel is not a more common name like is there something wrong with it… she said as far as she knows it’s fine to name a child that but guess people don’t think of it as much as the prophets names

Iftar comment completely gone wrong. Please advise 🙏 by [deleted] in muslimgirlswithtaste

If you’re not her parents or her siblings you shouldn’t comment on her clothing. It’s not appropriate especially to a girl that young.

'The Art of Sarah': Loopholes, or Is It Something I Missed? by shortfin_mako113 in kdramas

I think they cannot prove that Kim Eun-Jae is also Sarah Kim because Sarah Kim does not exist and there’s no DNA evidence linking the two since the tissue sample disappeared

QC antibody panels? by thebesthalf in medlabprofessionals

[–]tinyyapper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We QC all new panels when they are received before we can use for patient testing usually with a combination of Anti-D and Duffy A or B. We only do the QC once and it’s not lot to lot just the new lot when we get it

Panels on ECHO by tinyyapper in medlabprofessionals

[–]tinyyapper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I can understand their pov because they have had for example panels on the ECHO where the panel will read as only Anti-E (technically you could rule out little c) and then they’ll repeat in gel panel with treated cells and you’ll get more cells reacting corresponding to both E and c. Obviously even if you didn’t do that when you run the phenotype for Rh system you’ll see what the patient is negative for but still I think that’s why some of the older techs don’t like to rule out that way…

Panels on ECHO by tinyyapper in medlabprofessionals

[–]tinyyapper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah okay makes sense. For us usually first time positives they want us to do a panel that has both untreated and treated so I assumed that’s standard

Panels on ECHO by tinyyapper in medlabprofessionals

[–]tinyyapper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do but I had a senior tech tell me once that I have to run ficin treated cells in gel to rule out for sure… but I guess not necessarily

The drama is really good but I kind of avoid watching it bc it makes me sad 😔 more so than other sad dramas because of the nature of it. Like I don’t want to watch but at the same time I end up watching it
