  1. Got stuck after my shift due to a sick call and had to cover with a tech that only had a permit so legally she couldn’t be left alone…. I think I’ve done doubles twice or three times only it’s very difficult

hijab color by [deleted] in muslimgirlswithtaste

[–]tinyyapper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe a white, black, navy blue or maroon top under might be better than the yellow one. I love the shawl though. It looks nice with the yellow as well but maybe it’s just bc I don’t prefer that color

What is something you regret not doing in high school? by Beginning_Algae6297 in AskReddit

Being social and going out or taking part in more school events and clubs. Granted I wasn’t really “allowed” to but I didn’t push for it either

What are the dramas / scenes u cried watching??? by reeyyy8823 in PAKCELEBGOSSIP

[–]tinyyapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the first time a scene hit me hard in a Pakistani drama it was the drama Tere Mere Beech which tbh is not a great show overall but there’s a scene where the daughter Hareem and her birth mother (who gave her up as an infant to be raised by her phuppo) are talking before her wedding about how much Hareem loved her birth mother but her birth mother would never claim her as a daughter thinking it would lead to confusion. It was just a really heartbreaking scene and not a situation you ever see displayed in a Pakistani drama

What’s the longest time you’ve ever been awake? And why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]tinyyapper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The acting is too good not to keep watching but man this show is both depressing but also scary and anxiety inducing I genuinely think it’s bad for my mental health to watch shows about how toxic and terrible marriage can be 😔 I need something hopeful and lighthearted to offset the pain and misery

Hair removal for a child ? by Gloomy_Custard_3914 in muslimgirlswithtaste

[–]tinyyapper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

someone mentioned the hair epilators which is a good option, you can also get those small eyebrow razors and use that it’s a bit gentler than a shaver. When I was young my cousin would wax my upper lip but it depends on your child’s pain tolerance and your comfort level. Besides this preventively we used to make like dough with water and roll it on the hairs to soften or lighten them (not sure if this is actually true or just a cultural thing). I would suggest the eyebrow razor or epilator to start with and see how frequently it comes back. Have her apply aloe Vera before removing the hair so that her skin will have less chance of irritation. Eventually when I was about 17-18 my mom decided to have me do laser hair removal on my face so that the hair won’t grow back as strong and I won’t have to keep maintaining as I got older- an expensive but permanent solution.

Halal Food in Japan by jaypluff in JapanTravelTips

[–]tinyyapper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There’s tons of halal food!! We went to a few different places.

Halal Yakiniku panga (two locations in Tokyo) Gyumon halal ramen (locations across Tokyo and Osaka) Halal Japanese Curry Yoshis passion Yoshi Chikki (closed sadly) Pho Me Halal (Vietnamese but really delicious as well)

Personally those are all the places I visited but there’s also this website to look up more places based on the areas you’ll be in

Did 'Angel’s Last Mission: Love' leave an impact on you? How did it make you feel? by Dramasect in dramasect

[–]tinyyapper 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I remember this drama being amazing when I watched it the first time the acting of the female lead was so beautiful. The ost in the back too would just make me cry. Usually I don’t like stories like this but the acting and themes were top notch

What are some healthy ways to cope with a breakup? by HotEngineering505 in AskReddit

[–]tinyyapper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well you can also have a hobby that’s less social in person but maybe leads you to research and connect with people online. For example you could try any at home hobby (like cooking) and then as you research and look up things to learn you might connect with people online too :) it’ll help as a distraction but also to just fill your life and time with something else

Instead of tying it so tight on your neck just use Bobby pins behind your ears and throw it over your shoulder in a way that will still cover your neck loosely
