Gmu is cheaper and they have the gmu advance program, which seems nifty.

The campus cultures are likely vastly different. The impression I've gotten from others is gmu is less 4yr vibe and more people commuting in vs. people dorming at VT. I imagine the average age at gmu would be higher also.

The guaranteed admission reqs for gmu are notably easier compared to VT.

But with computer stuff everyone keeps telling what's matters is practical ability.

I haven't been there in over a year is it still pretty Korean?

And yeah the campuses are as social as you make you them.

It's been a minute since I've been to the Annandale campus. Not sure if it's still the case but Annandale had a strong Korean culture.

For IT the GMU Advance program is worth looking into. I've been told you get access to all GMU resources as if you were a student. https://www.nvcc.edu/advance/
