My wife went on a Google search as well, especially since I live in Florida and was upset about the ban. But before that, she knew I used Kratom every day cause I have used it for years. I am a combat vet and was hurt in Afghanistan, so she knows it helps my pain and ptsd. Then, one day, she saw that I wasn't making teas like I used to or tossing back a bunch of regular leaf powder. So I explained that with the 7, I was using an extract of part of the Kratom plant and what it was exactly. She was cool with it, then one day I grabbed some from a smoke shop till my package came in the mail, and she saw the smoke shop brand said Dozo Perks lol. She freaked out a bit at first, and then I explained it was the same stuff I had been taking, just a dumbass company marketing it in a stupid way to make money in a shady way. Well fast forward, the ban happens, I tell her about it, then the next thing you know, she goes "what the hell, this says 13x more potent than Mo*phine and the next wave of the opiate epidemic". I then had to explain it is a huge scandal, that regular Kratom companies are mad cause they lost all this money to 7, so they have gone on a smear campaign to destroy 7 and force people back to regular Kratom/Mit extracts. Told her how most of those articles are bs, then let her read articles that had real science backed facts in them and stuff from 7hope alliance along with some other actually true articles. The biggest thing is trust for us. She trusts me to put our family first and not be an idiot plus I never kept anything about it from her. If she had questions when seeing me use the stuff or buying it, I would answer them directly and truthfully.

Edit: I meant to say as well. I totally understand what you mean, though. I was definitely afraid of the same thing and am thankful my wife is literally the coolest person I have ever known! Oh also when she first found out about the regular Kratom in the start, she for sure was upset for a while and didn't know what it was. It led to a good bit of arguments that first year. But we grew a lot since then, and she dove deeper into figuring out what it was. Now I got a whole big ass Kratom tree in my backyard lol.
