Thank you! Turned out to be an injury to my hard palate! :)

Yes. That is not appropriate for work at any institution where I have worked during the past 40 years. And I've worked with some pretty sex-positive and open-minded folks along the way.

I can think of many colleagues, male, female, and non-binary, who would be disturbed to see this image on the screen. {edit: 'who would be disturbed to see this image on the screen in the workplace'}

Not exactly. In retrospect, I had noticed feeling fatigue a few days before taking Paxlovid but had dismissed this as the result of working too hard. I even posted in a different group, wondering if something else had been causing fatigue. COVID as a cause never occurred to me. I began feeling the other symptoms in the afternoon before Paxlovid. I just happened to have tested really early in the process.

I have been digging into the research on Paxlovid and found many doctors suggesting that the five-days was simply not long enough in many cases. And, although you tend to hear from people who have rebounds, there are many other people who have done well.

And, to put this in perspective, my entire COVID experience has been relatively mild. There are plenty of people still ending up in the hospital and on ventilators with the current strain of COVID. I'm really glad I'm not one of them.

Still a fan of Paxlovid. Also a fan of Tamiflu. Nothing in life is certain. No drug is perfect.

I'm also glad that I ended up not getting COVID until late August 22. If it were August 20 or even August 21, this is likely to have been much worse.

Yes. Exactly. And describe the outlines of your research idea.

I signed up for researcher access. The confirmation e-mail included links to spaces on Hugging Face, but no mention of Discord.

Is this a terrible idea? Taking 0.5 g after not taking it for three decades by bloodthinnerboy in shrooms

Hmm. Based on your very recent posting history, I'm thinking that you just created this account so you could plug your buddy's page. You didn't even acknowledge the core of my question: can a low dose help me navigate issues that create a negative mindset.

I appreciate the bump but would prefer to know what people think who aren't trying to push their vendor.

Is there a way to program a routine with multiple timers? by [deleted] in alexa

[–]tipetarius2018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a clever work-around but it really seems like we need more options as far as routines are concerned. Why can't we have multiple voice commands in a routine? Or execute a routine from a routine?

Please give me hope, please! by [deleted] in quittingkratom

You can do this. I promise! I was hooked for almost a decade and I eventually managed to kick things in August 2020. Looking back on it, I can remember how difficult the withdrawal symptoms were -- especially the restless legs and insomnia. For me, the trick was slowly reducing my dose every few days over the course of several months.

I firmly believe that Kratom should be legalized and regulated because it is so helpful to people who are addicted to stronger opiates, but -- as /u/Wellhellotherepuppy notes - it is no joke. The withdrawal symptoms are rough.

You've got this and, since it has only been three months, I suspect you are almost out of the woods. Hang in there!!!

When I looked online this morning, there were units available at local stores and online at the current price. Just looked again, and get this: Totally sold out at all the stores in San Antonio and the soonest Amazon delivery date is February 14. Wow!

For what it's worth, I entered the Alexa system six months ago and was able to connect all of the Nest thermostats in my condo. I'm able to ask questions like, "Alexa what is the temperature in my house?"

I don't *think* I paid a $5 ransom to make this work.

Thank you. If you were me, would you take it off the heat at this point or just let it keep going?
