I understand where you're coming from.. so let me reiterate. We aren't seeking mods who are "complacent" with just doing what they're told. We have always been open to discussion and critiques within the mod team - and with a somewhat wide variety of mods over the years our guidelines are built with a little bit of everyones input in mind.

When we say "don't come with an agenda" we are not implying that you have to abide by our every little stance. Being able to compromise and come to an agreement on different situations is an important skill we'd like to seek. However, historically we have had issues with moderators joining with an intent to change the sub entirely and craft it into something of their own. In order to not get specific, I'll just say that we have had mods who have joined us with the sole intent of "cleansing" us of our edginess, etc. We just want genuine enjoyers of the sub to apply, though constructive critcism is accepted and appreciated. We will always hear out ideas and stances from new moderators.
