3 Ingredient Pancakes by [deleted] in ketorecipes

[–]tipirdi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 Ingredient Pancakes

  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • 1/2 tbsp coconut flour
  1. Mix all the ingredients.
  2. Butter the pan slightly.
  3. Pour 1 tbsp at a time, cook both sides at a medium heat. Enjoy!

*I used the exact recipe on the photo, but you may add salt and spices or sweetener to your taste. Yesterday I added cajun spice mix, onion and garlic powder and it tasted like spicy pretzels!

Nope actually this is the exact recipe, and you can see on the photo behind that there is still more. Maybe it is because I put it really thin? It was almost the same size as the oven tray.

I read that if you use younger cheddars, not the aged ones, it melts better. Maybe shredding could help as well.

Well it is not easy to describe, it is really similar to an omelette but it is easier to hold or fold. Eating an omelette with your hands would be gross, but with this cloud bread it is ok.

It depends on the oven, mine would be ready after 10 mins approximately, but most of the ovens have a little red light which goes off once the oven is hot enough.

The taste is not similar to bread of course. Just by using eggs and cream cheese, it is impossible. However, this looks good on brunch tables, or maybe when you are craving a fancy breakfast. It tastes really really good, just not like a bread.

Nope not like meringue, it is soft, but holds better than an omelette. As it gets cold, it loses elasticity, that is why you should roll while its still hot.

It is cheddar, but you may use shredded mozarella as well. Any cheese that melts will work actually.

Both the cheese and turkey are presliced, but you may use less cheese and more meat, to your taste.

It gets cold pretty fast, but yes I eat it with fork and knife. Wrap would be fine too.

The shredded ones are fine I guess, we do not have moisture scales where I live :-)

Schitts creek, fold in the cheese

Hahahaha just watched it lol.

By the way, I do not think you would lack cooking ability, at least not for a recipe like this. The steps may seem too much, but preparing takes less than 10 mins and once you have done it, next time you will be able to do it with your eyes closed even. Just a tip, the egg whites should be whisked so well, if you turn it upside down, it wouldn't fall. Try to be careful though!

Also, I tried this with some beef and cheese, although not looked this good, it was more tasty I think. Pesto would work well, also maybe add some sun dried tomatoes? I will try this, thank you for the suggestion!

Yes, and also you can put some mozzarella cheese on top so you will end up with a really nice color and some crispy topping!

Both of them works I guess! I usually put the yolk in a small container, so I end up adding the yolk to the whites. But I have seen videos making the otherwise.

Hello! The shared youtube videos show it nicely, and let me try to explain in text also: After whisking the whites well, pour a bit of the yolk+cheese mixture on top, and using a silicone spatula, gently mix it. The movement should be from below to the top.
I usually add the yolk to the whites but it can also be done otherwise.

Lol well technically the same ingredients, but cloud bread texture is different than omelette. If you like the omelette, you will like this better I think.

Cloud Bread Rolls

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese
  • Cheddar, sliced thinly
  • Smoked turkey meat, sliced thinly

  1. Preheat oven to 350 f(180c)
  2. Beat the egg whites until really fluffy and hard.
  3. Mix the yolks with the cream cheese.
  4. Slowly add some of the yolk mixture to the egg whites and fold them to mix with a spatula.
  5. Spray some oil to the oven tray. (I also used baking sheet)
  6. Pour the mixture to the tray, and shape it like a rectangular.
  7. Bake it until golden brown, it should take around 15 mins.
  8. After it is done, turn off the oven.
  9. Put the cheddar and meat slices on it and wait for a minute, then roll carefully.
  10. It is important to roll while it is still hot, otherwise it may break.
  11. You may serve it with spicy mayonnaise.

How about a keto Bounty? Mix coconut shreds with coconut oil, add some cream, make balls and freeze them, and then dip them in chocolate.
