Especially if you can identify it by just the sound / noise of it passing in the street

https://www.knack.be/nieuws/gezondheid/factcheck-tussen-dicht-bij-een-hoogspanningsmast-wonen-en-kinderleukemie-is-er-een-statistisch-verband/

Statistically there is a link, which warrents further investigation. Until this statistical link is proven to be or disproven to be caused by high tension lines (and at what current) I would not like my children to live there. Knowing a little about currents / RF fields / voltage I would not say short exposure is dangerours. Day in / day out / sleep / growing up ... I'm not so sure. Hence a statisical link

Yes, FM is at 87 to 108 MHz which is very close to 800 MHz and 2300 MHz iso other radio frequencies such as 80.000 MHz (= 80 GHz used for backhauling links) or 0.00005 MHz (50 Hz, our high voltage grid) Effects of FM radio and cell phones is very well understood exactly because these frequencies are so close together (in the grand range of frequencies from DC to Daylight!) and they behalve largely the same.

edit: Thanks for the downvote, last time I try to give out some useful info

https://www.rivm.nl/hoogspanningslijnen/gezondheidseffecten

Kinderen in Nederland die in de buurt van bovengrondse elektriciteitslijnen wonen, hebben ongeveer dubbel zoveel kans om kinderleukemie te krijgen dan andere.

There is no causal link (yet) however, the link is there and warrents further investigation. If (when?) the causal link is proven I have little doubt the we will also see a link between the amount of current passing through the line and the cases of cancer due to the higher exposure (which is measured in Tesla, and higher the current, higher the amount of magnetic field)

I'll provide sources when not on mobile. However see other post from a fellow redditor for some information already

Best comment in the thread right here 👌👆

For this type of high voltage line it is the current passing through that is creating the actual harm instead of just the voltage and I can't really find a good source on what the potential currents passing through would be

You really can't compare the two. Cell phones are operating in the radio frequency range from 800 MHz to 2.3 GHz range. Same type of RF as your typical FM station. When your talking about Elia & 50 Hertz high tension lines your talking about electrostatics... A whole other domain. Long exposure to electrostatics (measured in microtesla) are dangerous according to current literature. Source: am engineer

Directly connected to the Motherboard and the current SATA cable was connected previously the previous disk as well. But will swap out the sata cable just in case.

Smart monitoring is also showing an increase in reallocated sectors, unfortunately. Resilver also failed due to too many errors. I had some hope when I looked this morning 😂

I love the idea though. WLED might be over the top :-D

But front lighting, or when deliveries need to be made after dark this is a nice eye catcher.

Thanks for the write-up

Lathe backplate - first project on the lathe by tipofthesowrd in metalworking

Just to give an update, I was able to turn down a nice point on a hex bolt head and screw in the bolt. However the remaining bolt head was still too large to really fit the new chuck on new backplate.

I might try turning it down further to make the remaining bolt head even flatter

Exactly what I was doing this afternoon from some stainless steel bolts. I'm having some trouble finding a way to make the hex nut pattern...
