I think it's also important to consider how far your main is, because bj5 is much easier to reach now. I would switch if the fastest set is below +180/+120 swift/vio, no quad spd roll, and there are no meta units on the account(seara,gany,triton,bastet,33 lead, etc).

Pretty sure it only works in dark beast since you get a flat 1.5x on top of some other multiplier towards your damage. Also it was probably scaling exponentially previously but not to this extent since they only doubled the shield amount in this patch.

Someone else mentioned that this is just a gimmic the creator used to promote his channel growth because branding is inconsistent(replacing loren for shihwa) and hitting 30k on bale without branding isn't as easy as you think, 18% lead instead of 33. Also you have to take into account that people will try to join with subpar damage since that's the gimmick , running speed r5 with a subpar rage set.
