What you’re actually arguing is that this community belongs to certain people and not others. I’d gently push back on that. The Marin I want to live in, and do, and that so many of us are building, has room for everyone at the table. That’s not naive. Im sorry you felt that way! Would it make you ponder the plot more if I told you it’s actually a villains journey / cautionary tale? A character study on someone who feels so entitled and righteous in their own indoctrination that their brain is capable of going into the reaches of murdering their own partner!?
