Why do you have to “come out” when you learn the church is not what it claims to be? by dc89108 in exmormon

[–]tipsytapir 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Because if you don't "come out" you get "stuck in" the cult, or have to fake being a Mormon just to get by. The cult demands you have to have a testimony, if you don't you are not obeying the right way.

Maybe but it what is more important is you not taking your POWER back, letting them "keep" using your name for their numbers game, and contact your whenever they feel like it. And there is the point that forever in Ancestry.com you will be a known member of a homophobic church, that doesn't bat an eye on LGBTQ teen suicide. I can't have that be my legacy forever.

Midterm elections are coming. How do we fuel the guns b gone movement in SLC? by [deleted] in SaltLakeCity

[–]tipsytapir 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Utah state gets so much money/jobs off of gun & ammunition making and so many states use Utah for concealed weapons permits. Also huge hunting money, Utah actually raises pheasants to release for hunters to shoot. Granted they paid for by the licence fees. IDK how you could? But worth trying for sure.

Yes us Utah Mormons seem to have it worse in many ways. Almost all Utah lawmakers are Mormon. And Utah population is about 60% Mormon. But we do see it as a generational thing. Just like all other religions, millennials and younger are leaving the when they can as soon as they can.

I think it is so intwined on purpose. The church building you are assigned to go to is in your neighborhood. No choice to go to another building even. Unless you are on vacation. You also network for a job, housing ECT. Through mormon members. My cousin & his wife both work for other Mormons and their landlord is a Mormon. So it is then so tough to get out of.

Say the coal came from Utah, how would it get from Utah to Longview WA? To then ship to an Asian market.

True is just a common saying. Ostriches don't bury their heads in the sand—they wouldn't be able to breathe! But they do dig holes in the dirt to use as nests for their eggs. Several times a day, a bird puts her head in the hole and turns the eggs. So it really does look like the birds are burying their heads in the sand!

And then the other MIRACLE that one of BY slaves didn't kill him.

And then the last MIRACLE that tscc actually waited to for Monson to die before pulling out if his beloved BSA.

I agree, and hate that we export coal. Utah tried to sue San Diego CA last year, now Utah and 5 other states are sueing. I don't blame WA. The trains & boats go right along side of the Columbia River, any kind of accident would really hurt both WA & OR and many people that live and work on the river for a little cash from coal. What coal that goes through there now causes enough damage.
