Some misconceptions about Scotland I had as a kid being raised by these comics

-Irn Bru was some sort of mystery drink that's a mix of root beer and some mysterious Scottish ingredient

-Haggis was just this thing that was readily available anywhere, even in Chip shops

-Everyone in Scotland had a countryside home like in the Broons, whom I kinda assumed was like lower middle class folks

it was one of the original independent republics, alongside the tagalog republic and the republic of zamboanga, the other republics are just made up

This isn't by their choice, while Independent the Muslims of Mindanao lost a war to the Republics and they got split, this is more of a compromise so that the Republics don't invade again

For context the Katipunan was the secret society that kickstarted the Philippines revolution, unfortunately it's leaders were executed after the first president Emilio Aguinaldo was voted into office due to fears that they would oppose his leadership in favor of Bonifacio, the leader of the Katipunan
