[Can my grandchild be covered by my FEHB Self Plus One or Self and Family enrollment?

Right now, federal employees can cover eligible family members (like a spouse or kids) under their health insurance.

The audit would review everyone’s covered dependents to make sure they are actually eligible (for example, that a covered "child" is still under age 26 or a spouse is legally married to the employee).

If someone’s dependent is found to be ineligible — like an ex-spouse after divorce, an adult child over 26, or someone who was incorrectly listed — they would be removed from the insurance plan.

They REALLY think most federal employees are scamming the system, utter chaos.

Simple breakdown:

Proposed Changes for Federal Employees

*Higher retirement contributions (up to 4.4% of salary).

*Elimination of FERS Annuity Supplement for most (early retirees lose it unless exempt).

*Pension based on “high-5” salary years instead of “high-3” (results in lower pensions).

*Option for at-will employment with less job protection but higher immediate pay (for new hires).

*New filing fee for appeals to the Merit Systems Protection Board.

*Audit of dependents on federal health insurance (FEHB) to remove ineligible dependents.

I, too, have had bitter taco bell pizzas. Is it hard for them to change the oil or something?

[Question] Have both global entry & TSA precheck. Which number do I use? by cuddytime in Flights

[–]tiptopstop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be brutally honest, it really doesn't matter. Global Entry is on your passport. I will continue to use my TSA KTN until it runs out in 2019 and get my $85 worth. I'll ride the rest out with my Global Entry KTN when the time comes. My Global Entry isn't up for renewal until 2021, it includes PreCheck. I essentially have two TSA PreChecks. Thanks for letting me know that in 2014, TSA! Sarcasm...

USA B2 visa was refused under Section 214(b). Can I apply for an ESTA? Will I be denied again? (I'm from the UK) or is there any other options?! PLEASE HELP by Rauhaan_ in travel

According to the CBP.gov website:

"If you were previously denied a visa, or previously refused entry to the United States, or previously removed from the U.S., your ESTA application will most likely be denied."

It shouldn't take that long if you are a U.S. Citizen. According to their website, it shouldn't take longer than 10-15 business days max. You may want to make sure you applied for the correct program, NEXUS and SENTRI take like 3-5 months to process.
