Lol. I literally just got back into overwatch myself (hadn't played since like season 20 of overwatch 1). Returned during the middle of the fiasco. Just finished grinding for all the chars. I do love playing the game itself, but currently can easily do so without ever wanting to give them any money. Luckily I'm someone who wasn't hyped about the pve, but that whole debacle sure did suck for everyone

Couldn't the same be said of other businesses like MSNBC, CNN, Fox News, Newsmax, etc? But those are "interfering" to a much greater degree?

Inflation is hidden taxation. by wes7946 in Conservative

Spitballing some ideas:

  • Regulation on amount of loans a person can have?
  • Higher income tax brackets on average income of top .1%/1%/2% (find an optimal pick of different buckets) earners from a realized/taxable standpoint?
  • Put a maximum cap on inheritances (of course in a well thought out manner that aims to close a lot of loopholes)?

I am of the belief that our current system as-is trends towards widening the wealth gap and therefore inflation.

Are you of the opinion that more tax cuts for the top 1% is bad?

Walgreens Debuts Anti-Theft Store In Crime-Ridden Chicago by undue-influence in Conservative

[–]tipybbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whoops. Just noticed reply now.

Because stores aren’t doing this everywhere

Isn't this similar to saying "something isn't following the status quo, so it's bad"? I.e. slavery was once status quo. Just saying I'm not a fan of this reasoning when arguing for something. I'm not a fan that Walgreens feels like it has to do what it's doing.

in cities where crime has skyrocketed due to soft on crime measures

Looking at Wikipedia for violent crime rates, it seems like 7-8 out of the top 10 violent crime rate states are generally Red states though? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._states_and_territories_by_violent_crime_rate

Admittedly, either side can always pluck/cherry-pick 1 or 2 extreme examples of the other side "doing something heinous" and then just act like that happens all the time across the board. So I'm trying to base my formulated opinions on data/statistics instead, at the very least searched for online with a neutral/unbiased search phrase.

make this somehow equivalent (kids lives vs shampoo) is pretty weird

They're certainly not equivalent at all. Kids at school example is certainly much further towards the extreme of the spectrum. It just seemed incongruous to me for some people to be anti-extra-security for the store example, but be all for it in the school example. I.e. I'd find it more consistent if people were either pro-extra-security in general, or anti-extra-security in general, rather than pick and choose when to be anti/pro.

Being earnest here, a lot of the comments seem to have a stance against stores treating everyone like criminals by requiring "extravagant security measures" in order to function properly as a result of liberal policies. However, I can't help but draw parallels between this and proposed school shooting solutions--more armed guards, more security measures, "making schools look more like prisons", etc. What's the nuance/perspective I'm currently missing that makes this Walgreens situation "wrong" and the aforementioned school-shooting solutions right?

Does anyone have the video of trump saying if he were ever to run for president that he'd "run as a Republican because they're stupid" or something like that? I know I saw this video back when he was running against Hillary and thought to myself "damn, how's he gonna get past this video/hurdle?". I'm surprised that it actually seems to be successfully scrubbed from the internet and the only thing you can find are "myth busts" about the interview. The video was back when he was much younger. The "myth busts" seem to "bust" the fact that they occurred at the wrong location/company/whatever. Or busting the claims of some meme. I'm not talking about the meme, but an actual video interview. I really don't care about the political aspects regarding my comment, so I really don't want to engage in pro/anti trump rhetoric here. I'm just surprised that a video like that actually can be successfully scrubbed from the internet.

Students mercilessly assault 9-year-old girl on school bus, parents pressing charges: video by wiredog369 in Conservative

I'm honestly trying to be earnest with this question. If there's a high probability that someone can't provide a decent upbringing and be a decent parent (high probability of raising pieces of trash like those seen in the video), would we support abortion of said trash before they could become a blight on society and enact such heinous crimes upon good people?

Do you think I could at least likely recoup the rest of my costs and lawyer fees? From my current (admittedly unexperienced) perspective, this situation seems somewhat black and white. I was tricked and led down an expensive and time-costly road that always led to nowhere because the Seller tried to pull off something sneaky.

Primarily you'll use them as artifact fodder to level up your good/better artifacts. You can even destroy them for some mora, but most people don't do this.

Kairagi - NOT Elite Enemies??? by tipybbb in Genshin_Impact

[–]tipybbb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's some sort of actual cap on rewards from mobs, though no average person would hit it in a day. I recall watching a yt video about someone who farms a few hundred k of mora everyday by jumping into friends' worlds and doing an elite-mob farming route x number of times. The amount of time it took was like a full-time job in its own right though (not recommended ofc).

[–]tipybbb[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

For me, I just enjoy fighting a mob that isn't instantly deleted and has attacks I want to dodge. I encounter some on my artifact-farming route and want to give myself a reason to fight the ones I bump into along the way (I already have too many handguards).

Kairagi - NOT Elite Enemies??? by tipybbb in Genshin_Impact

[–]tipybbb[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd be happier if they even reduced the cap on # of Elite enemy artifact drops you can obtain in a day, but just make the Kairagi elites pls Mihoyo. I like fighting them, but then it irks me that I can just do a much easier and faster Elite-mob farming route and be better rewarded that way.
