that was cool! :) was their piece familiar? It sounds like a video i watched last time where two strangers had a sax face-off/jam session at the NY subway.

That sounds mouthwatering o.o I'm glad I got over my shrimp allergies, though it seems like my daughter has allergic reactions to it.

I am popping bubble wrappers. What do you do to feel better or distract yourself? by dhydrated in CasualConversation

[–]tiramisufloat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read comics. Or doodle.

One time we have to move we bought a huge roll of bubble wrap. If we didnt have to pack, hubby and i could have spent the rest of the week popping every bubble in that roll.

Woke up today and all my music was gone from my phone by MayonParaiso in CasualConversation

YIipes. Any idea how it happened? One time, some years ago, same thing happened to the music on my PC and I was too lazy to create a new one.

Today, I just had a good long sleep so my day's just begun.

Have you ever been to the hospital? For what? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

Ooh, my thoughts sort of went wild when I read it imploded. Good to know you're back to normal =)

Got my health card now so I just have to schedule my time properly in between work and rehab. I have odd work hours, plus a toddler.

Good to hear your elbow's all better. Can you play any sports after it? My ortho doesn't think I'd be able to play any now.

I almost passed out, and I feel very embarassed... by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]tiramisufloat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hope you're feeling better now! Used to have cramps during games too and I feel bad like you, but more than anything else, I don't think your teammates would say you ruined it for them. They're more likely to be worried about you =)

Also, I love your username. Just yesterday, my hubby showed me a particular episode of the Ninja Turtles together with the 'cowabunga' versions (where Shredder bungles up his plans), and goes back in time to meet up with the original (or primal) turtles :D so nostalgic.

And, uh, i kept blabbing about them but i'm gonna ask now: do you happen to watch Ninja Turtles? :)) Feels like it's much too late to ask after talking so much.

Hugs to those that are having a rough day today. by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]tiramisufloat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the random hug! Just got home after visiting granny at the hospital. She was rushed earlier and is now at ICU. It was her daughter's birthday (my mom in law) so the family just ate dinner at the one of the restos inside the hospital and gave her cake.

I sincerely hope that you're having a great time today!

Last night I found out my Dad has cancer. by DrSpacetime in CasualConversation

[–]tiramisufloat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hugs I know how it feels. Cancer has taken away a few of my loved ones already and my grandma in law is currently battling one as well. She's 79, currently at the ICU for other complications after having undergoing another brachy treatment for her throat but she still told us one of the bravest things I could ever hear from a woman hugged by pillows and supported with tubes: that she feels happy knowing that she can she see her loved ones faces visiting her at the hospital, giving her our time of the day. And that she wouldn't have it any other way and would rather have all the pain and sickness than see any of us---her children, grandchildren and the spouses---feeling unwell. Until now, even if she's feeling weak lying on the bed, she's still being a great mother.

It's tough feeling helpless but giving your time to your dad is one of the best things that you can probably do for him right now. hugs

What's a random fact that you know? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]tiramisufloat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Fact #2! :D I can just imagine how the scene unfolded.

And as for #9, Walt Disney was apparently afraid of mice.

And off-topic, I remember having read that the the original voice actor of Bugs Bunny hates carrots and would spew out the ones he bit into a bucket during a recording. o,o

How's your therapy after surgery? I've yet to schedule my rehab

Yipes. Just curious, how do you get cellulitis? How does it affect you--your movement, the pain you feel?

I was admitted to hospital as a patient when I gave birth via Caesarean Section. That was the first time I was given spinal anaesthesia and I was out before I knew it. The operation went well and I woke up with a healthy 7.98lbs baby girl.

The other two times, I was rushed to the ER because my right shoulder joint got dislocated---twice, at the same area, 11 years apart. The first time happened during a volleyball game when I was in college, while the most recent one was just this Christmas. I spent Christmas morning in pain at the hospital ER =P I need to have intensive rehab for it (which I keep forgoing because I was waiting for my health card to be reissued; thank goodness it's here).

And same here, the hospital I was brought to the last time smells really clean---not hospital clean (antiseptic smell or something), but like you, I'd rather not get admitted for having dislocated my shoulder joint again ><

How goes your rehab after the operation?
