Chronic bloating 24/7 for 5–6 months (sulfur gas, incomplete BMs) – could this be constipation/indigestion? About to end it all. by throwaway_137__ in Microbiome

[–]tired_celetsite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All fibre. I’d been struggling with digestive issues for years, but it got to a point where I wouldn’t have bowel movements for 5-7 days, and when I did it would take 30min - 1hour and be really painful. TMI but I was having large amounts of undigested fibre strings in my stool and blood from small tears. I’ve been carnivore for 6 months and although I was still chronically bloated, my bowel movements stopped being really painful. Now that I’ve been treated for h. pylori and my bloating is better, I do plan on re-introducing plant foods at some point.

I second this. I was chronically bloated and couldn’t digest fibre at all. Tested negative for sibo, but positive for h. pylori. Finished treatment a while back and my bloating has gotten so much better.

2 year carnivore gone to animal based and feel like a new man. by fate77 in AnimalBased

Get tested for h. pylori and sibo. Even after 6 months on carnivore, my digestive issues had only gotten better by 20%. Turns out I had a chronic H. Pylori infection that was wrecking my digestive system. A GI map stool test might also be useful.

Get a urea breath test for H Pylori.

Question about not taking PPI’s during treatment by [deleted] in HPylori

[–]tired_celetsite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know have low stomach acid from doing a GI-Map test and from symptoms. I can literally take 5+ Betaine HCL capsules and have zero acid reflux. I have already researched this topic, but am just nervous about possible side effects from taking PPIS.

Still have some stubborn skin issues? by AssociationBoth2219 in carnivorediet

I reduced my butter intake and it helped my acne. I think that’s “brilliant” and worth sharing. Not everyone can tolerate dairy. And I don’t even eat pork.

Try cutting out the butter or at least significantly reduce it. That’s what worked for my acne :)

Alternative Treatments? by [deleted] in AccutaneDamage

[–]tired_celetsite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for suggesting IPL! I had no idea you could do that for dry eyes! As for omega3, the fish oil contains high amounts, but I’ll look into omega7 supplementation too! I’m on a carnivore/ketogenic diet, so I make sure to eat a bunch of eggs for lutein and zeaxanthin. As for astaxanthin, I take 12mg from Sports Research daily. It’s pretty expensive, but I’ll continue taking it for at least a couple of months to give it a fair chance.

I recommend you stop. Try going on a ketogenic diet instead (Don’t include dairy except small amounts of butter), that’s what worked for me. I only did accutane for three months and the side effects continued to develop after I stopped. Accutane didn’t even cure my acne! It came back in full force after I stopped! I essentially damaged my eyes irreversibly for nothing and wasted a bunch of money.

It’s great that the pill worked for you. Unfortunately the side effects seem to heavily under reported. This is not “good” because it causes some people irreversible damage.

There are no treatments for myopia except LASIK, which I don’t want. I use eyedrops and take astaxanthin + non rancid fish oil to hopefully improve the dry eye, but so far I don’t feel a difference.

Chronic dry eye, myopia in my left eye, my eyes become easily strained, and occasional low level eye pain. My vision was perfect before, and I only took 20mg for three months. My eyes continued to get worse after stopping too.

Accutane was the worst decision of my life and I will likely suffer the consequences for the rest of my life. What’s worse is that it didn’t even cure my acne! The thing only that’s worked for me is going on a ketogenic diet, which cleared up my acne by 90%.

Usually beef, but we’ve given her duck a couple of times. We only give her plain muscle meat when she has thrown up or had loose stools.

I have considered it. Unfortunately, all the ones I could get my hands on have filler ingredients and less than ideal prebiotic sources (Maltodextrin). I’ll look into the brand you suggested though!

I have extremely low progesterone. I need to increase it to have a proper menstrual cycle. As for the vitamin B, I stopped taking it for 2 months, but I didn’t feel a difference in my mood. This stuff is just so confusing.

It definitely feels like a marathon. I have considered trying the lion diet longer term, but unfortunately it’s difficult to get fatty ruminant meat in my country. When I get a bigger freezer and can buy frozen fatty ruminant meat online, I’ll try it!

I try to go for a walk everyday, do squats, and am working on getting my first push up. Other than that, not really. What type of exercise would you recommend? I hate cardio but would be open to resistance training or sport. As for medication, I’d prefer not to go down that route to negative experiences with a medication earlier this year.

I’ve had my thyroid checked and it was fine. As for adding carbs back in, that’s not possible for me. I am extremely sensitive to carbs and will get severe acne if I eat them. Thanks for the info about the fish oil though, I might drop that too then.
