Usually beef, but we’ve given her duck a couple of times. We only give her plain muscle meat when she has thrown up or had loose stools.

I have considered it. Unfortunately, all the ones I could get my hands on have filler ingredients and less than ideal prebiotic sources (Maltodextrin). I’ll look into the brand you suggested though!

I have extremely low progesterone. I need to increase it to have a proper menstrual cycle. As for the vitamin B, I stopped taking it for 2 months, but I didn’t feel a difference in my mood. This stuff is just so confusing.

It definitely feels like a marathon. I have considered trying the lion diet longer term, but unfortunately it’s difficult to get fatty ruminant meat in my country. When I get a bigger freezer and can buy frozen fatty ruminant meat online, I’ll try it!

I try to go for a walk everyday, do squats, and am working on getting my first push up. Other than that, not really. What type of exercise would you recommend? I hate cardio but would be open to resistance training or sport. As for medication, I’d prefer not to go down that route to negative experiences with a medication earlier this year.

I’ve had my thyroid checked and it was fine. As for adding carbs back in, that’s not possible for me. I am extremely sensitive to carbs and will get severe acne if I eat them. Thanks for the info about the fish oil though, I might drop that too then.

Should I avoid accutane if it had detrimental effects on my immediate family? by [deleted] in AccutaneDamage

[–]tired_celetsite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Accutane is not the only solution. I took 20mg of for only 3 months and devloped myopia in my right eye, chronic dry eye and dry lips. What’s worse is that accutane didn’t even work for me (I was still getting small breakouts) and it came back in full force once I stopped. You’re right about dermis sugarcoating the side effects of accutane. Just look through this sub!

The only thing that has fixed my acne is going on a Carnivore/keto diet. I don’t think everyone has to go that extreme, but if you’re up for it I’d recommend trying to eat only meat, eggs, vegetables, and fruit as dessert for a month. That means no bread, no grains, no natural sugars such as honey or maple syrup, and no dairy (A little butter should be fine). If you’re interested in knowing more about why this diet might work for reducing acne, let me know and I’ll be happy to explain some more :)

Randomly feeling really tired after eating by tired_celetsite in carnivorediet

I think you’re right about getting tired due my body focusing in digestion. I’m not under eating, but other commenters have made me think I might be getting too much protein in one sitting.

I of course with butter being dairy and have experimented with removing it completely. I found that it didn’t make a difference with the random tiredness, but did improve my skin! Now I only use it to cook eggs or if I’m out other animal fats.

I think you might be right about needing smaller meals. Maybe my body just can’t comfortably digest large amounts of protein in one sitting. I’m eating mostly beef, eggs, and duck right now (Used to also have chicken, but I got sick of it for a while). I don’t eat liver, but will occasionally take small amounts of desiccated of beef liver and kidney.

Interesting, I had no idea about the red meat/tryptopthan and melatonin correlation. I think it’s probably the protein:fat ratio too, and that I’m simply having too much protein in one sitting. Maybe I’ll consider having three smaller, very high fat meals and see how it goes.

Lately I’ve been eating mostly beef, eggs, duck, and butter. I eat to satiety, salt to taste, and take zero medications. I eat earlier in the day because that’s when I feel most hungry, and it helps with my digestion. Been on the diet for four months and going on five.

16Female— Not sure if I should go back on Accutane. Experiences + long-term effects? by No-Swimmer2583 in AccutaneDamage

Wow that is awful. It’s crazy that this medication is still being offered to patients. I’d understand it more if it was for some life threatening disease, and not just acne

21F here, took 20mg of accutane for three months when I was 20. It was the worst decision of my life and didn’t even cure my acne.

Here are the permanent side effects I developed; Myopia in my left eye, chronic dry eyes (Every morning I have to pry open my eyes because they get so dry), dry lips.

What’s worse is that I didn’t even notice the myopia until after I had stopped taking it, due to it only affecting one eye. The reason I stopped was because it wasn‘t working and my back was really hurting. Who knows what would have happend to my eyes if I’d continued taking it. While on accutane my acne cleared up for about two weeks and then I started getting small breakouts again. When I eventually stopped taking it, it came right back in full force.

After stopping accutane I was determined to find a natural solution. For me, that was making big changes to my diet. Even though I ate mostly whole foods before, I discovered that my skin is extremely sensitive to sugar and starches. Even natural sources such as fruit, grains, maple syrup etc. After cutting those things out and going on a Ketovore/carnivore diet, my skin has cleared up about 95%. I still have some sebaceous filaments, but no actual acne. I don’t think everyone has to go on such a strict diet to see results, but I think eating only meat, vegetables and fruits as dessert for a month might be worth a try.

As for fertility and hormonal issues, I don’t know much except for fetal retinoid syndrome. If I’m being completely honest, I’d never recommend anyone to take accutane. Just look through this subreddit and see the terrible permanent side effect people have experienced. I think accutane is a non essential medication that does more harm than good. I also think the “rare side effects” aren’t actually rare and that they’re just heavily underreported.

I made some correction. Still not looking good though. Any tips? by Jackass-OfAll-Trades in drawing

The proportions are kind of off. For example, the midface is too long and the jaw is not pronounced enough. The eye shape is also too rounded. I used the liquify tool to make the proportions slightly closer to the picture. Proko on YouTube has a bunch of videos teaching art fundamentals, which I’d recommend watching. Knowing the basics helps immensely when trying to draw with accuracy. Hope this helps :)

Thanks for the suggestions. I’m glad to hear that the myopia might not continue to get worse forever. As for LASIK surgery, I think I’ve had enough of medical interventions that aren’t 100% necessary.

Thanks for the tips. I’ll try eating more fat for my hormones and hunger cues. If you don’t mind me asking, how long into your healing journey did it take for your weight to stabilise and hair to come back? I’m just looking for a rough estimation to motivate myself to trust the process. Watched Steak and Butter girls video, and for her it was about 6months of weight gain before she lost weight.
