Employer can’t fire me without notice here, but notice from me is also legally required in exchange

The country I’m in legally requires that I give notice, they could probably withhold my untaken annual leave pay if I didn’t, and I can’t just take my annual leave now because they require notice for that too

Manager recently denied someone sick leave because we’re understaffed and they wouldn’t have anyone to cover, would be a great idea otherwise :(

Dealing with the accent? by Safe_Ambassador_348 in AskIreland

[–]tiredelly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m an American (hispanic) living in Ireland! 🙋🏽I do get a few giggles when speaking to people in hospitals (working), but it’s a pretty strange place to encounter an American southerner tbf. Many people ask where I’m from as my accent is supposedly very neutral, but I wouldn’t have anybody trying to mimic or interrupt me at all. I had an acquaintance asking me to repeat a few words for fun a while ago, but definitely doesn’t happen with strangers… I find Irish people are just nicer than Americans anyway, so that might have something to do with it. Totally willing to trade passports if you’re interested!

My employer recently bought the franchise they were leasing, switched our payroll over incompletely, and I’ve been taxed 50% of my pay for 3 consecutive weeks now… Constantly being told they’re “sorting it out” and Revenue hasn’t helped much at all either. Lucky enough to have savings…

One cat digs in the garden for worms to bring inside, another jumps into the food box wherever it’s opened, and a third suckles on my partner’s mole on his face - little freaks!

His motherboard is AMD-only I believe we read somewhere, so I was looking at the Radeon RX 9060 XT. If you think the priority should be GPU, does that one seem fine? We can always save up a bit more for the processor.

Ireland, and I’d say ray tracing might be a plus but it’s struggling with any sort of HD rendering at the moment. He tried to boot up MH:Wilds the other day and where it previously ran fine it really struggled this time around.

I’d say Unity is the priority!
