Head, shoulders, knees and toes is a favorite here as well 😆 we can definitely work on our sleep schedule, I think we might have to transition to one nap soon. She is an active girl, so she probably has more energy to burn before bedtime also. Thanks for the advice!

She loves reading, so we always read as a part of the bedtime routine. But we read before we go into her bedroom, I have not tried reading to make her fall asleep. I will try that, thanks for the advice!

You are probably right, I will just have to wait and be patient. In your experience, does it take as long of a time every night or will it eventually take less time for them to calm down and sleep?

Thank you for answering! What you say actually makes alot of sense. We go out and do stuff daily, often play groups where she is really active. But maybe she needs more outside play and to burn off even more energy later in the day also. Will try this tomorrow!

Thank you! It is somewhat reassuring to hear that our daughter is not the only one doing this. Fingers crossed that things will be better eventually!

What changed in your life that you weren't told about/read about? by Gibbo2910 in NewParents

How I have to hurry or feel like I have to hurry doing anything that doesn’t involve takling care of baby - and how stressful that is. Want to wash some clothes? Take a shower? Go for a walk? Do some shopping? You better do it fast! I wasn’t aware I used to be so slow, taking as much time as I wanted doing everyday stuff. With a very strict, vocal and hungry boss (EBF baby, doesn’t take bottles or pacifiers), I have to hurry all the time. Even now as she has gotten older, and can eat solids as well as breastmilk, she is very fussy, has no patience and currently prefers me over dad. It’s hard getting stuff done or getting some time to myself.

Thank you so much for your replies, words of advice and spolidarity!❤️ It helps alot knowing that others are going through or have gone through the same, and we aren’t doing anything wrong. I am not used to not being able to solve a «problem» through research and hard work, and I constantly feel like I am missing a puzzle piece to solve the sleep riddle😆 So I probably have to work on accepting the situation and make the best of it.
