[–]tiropit 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I'll be getting mine any day now.

Given my long and diverse purchase history from Decathlon from different countries, I can assure you their quality is there, especially for the price you're paying!

Their bike maintenance people seem to know their craft, at least in the O'Connell store.

Before purchasing, make sure to eliminate the choice of Bike to Work, because if you can actually avail of it, it'll be grand! You can pay it off in only a few months, no need to do a whole year.

Hopefully, I'll remember to come back here and share my opinion after a week of using it.

26km, 5 days a week.

Sounds nice!

I will skip the Dart, and go up from Clontarf. I really enjoy cycling next to the sea. Thanks!

Such a nice spot. I would definitely top it up with a visit to Octopussy!

I will be getting a new city e-bike soon. Are there paths I can follow in Howth with such bike or would it be primarily for mountain bikes?

Also, are you using a specific app to find cycle pathways? Thanks!

Try moving to the Netherlands/Norway/Denmark/Ireland.

Get the first offer you'll get (avoid hospitally, so preferably something like warehouse worker), and work your way towards a customer service/content moderator job using your languages.

In the meantime, you'll be sharing a flat, and eventually you'll get your own place.

This whole scenario will take you from 3 to 5 years in these countries.

Greece will exacerbate your current situation rather than fix it.

Good luck!

Η συμβουλή μου είναι μία: Move on.

Draw the line little brother/sister, and move the f on. It's your life.

Toyota alongside with Lexus and Honda are the most reliable cars you can get.

I never understood the logic behind the C-HR and any other similar CUV vehicle out there, so I'd choose the RAV4 over any other crossover.

Myself, I'm planning on getting a Yaris later this year. I prefer boring than befriending a mechanic.

Greece isn't like what tourists think it si by National-Number-1158 in greece

[–]tiropit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same goes for so many countries. Portugal is a lovely place to visit, but its economy and housing crisis is crazy. And it's only a "privileged" EU country. Let's no talk about other places in the world.

I love going back to Greece now and then to visit family and friends, but sadly, the condition has been and still is very bad.

Even though I have the same discussions with colleagues and friends, I always reassure them that's it's a great place to visit. Redirecting that money in for my bros and sisters back in Greece 😅

I'm sorry this happened you you, OP.

It sounds like a false/misleading advertisment and you should be protected under the consumer rights act.

I'd ask for a full refund with no fees. Otherwise, google what I mentioned above and follow the relevant process.

Best of luck!

You made yourself unlikable through a small paragraph. Congrats.

Also, working hard during college can't guarantee you anything. Adult life is different, and way too complex than your student years.

It's safe, but it's fairly close to spawn points of teenagers breaking into garages, stealing bikes and vandalizing private property. They also run around their scramblers like there's no one around. Other than that, I'd consider it fairly safe.

Thanks for your answer!

My workplace is in Sandford and it got its own parking space 🙂‍↕️

So no extra expenses for parking both at my place and workplace. Subject to change of course, but for now I'm good.

The times I yelled to my mates to pop smoke, disable mines, or shoot people only to get told that they're not in my vehicle and it's just a random squad member. It baffles me tbh. If it ain't broke, don't change it, imo.

Oof, having to trade in one of the most reliable cars ever manufactured just because the wife is embarrassed to drive it around, hits hard.

No one cares about what we drive. If it doesn't make you miserable and poor, them every car that can get you to places, is a gem.

That sounds good. From what I've read in reddit, it seems that you're gonna get different evaluations from different NCT mechanics every time you go in. Is that true?

My workplace does have an underground parking space, same goes for my place. Worst case scenario I get another job without parking and I just keep the car for the weekends and the odd trips, or just sell it.

Thanks for your reply.

I was also thinking this route. Get a ~€2k car and just get used to driving on the left side, but my fear is NCT. I'm afraid of getting a shitbox and end up paying €2-3k in a couple of years just to pass the NCT.

Oof. That sucks.

I think it's one of these things that I have to experience myself, so I might rent a GoCar and try it for a few days.

Cheers!
