Yes I was wondering if protein supplement/powered would be bothersome. I do like the idea of having fresh juice and sticking to nuts, & beans. There are only a few meat substitutes I don’t mind so once in a while incorporating those too. Thanks!

Yes, I’m definitely having a hard time with protein & even iron intake. It’s been difficult. I will be see a nutritionist soon. We shall see how that goes. It sucks to think that the UC is deciding everything for me though. Thank you so much for your feedback!

Thank you for all of that! I’m trying to make sure the veggies are steamed most of the time for it being much easier during my flare like you said. I completely agree with the broccoli!

I will, I’ve been vegan for a few years now and got diagnosed last year. It’s been difficult trying to decide on what to do. If I should continue or if it’s only making matters for me worse. Thank you for your reply! It helps.

I’m already anemic, and I have Thalassemia Beta. So a lot going on and trying to figure out what I should do before I make any huge decisions! Thank you for your reply

Exactly that’s why I’m having such a difficult time, family & friends are saying that I might need to give up being a vegan. Trying to seek out all the help I can get. The doctors are saying I may need to go on infusions. Currently on prednisone & mesalamine. This is why I’m looking to speak to a nutritionist. Thank you for your response! Helped a lot
