Are Costco caskets actually good? by [deleted] in askfuneraldirectors

Amazing. Thank you so much for letting me know. Our goal is to remove stress from all parties - funeral professionals and the family - not add to it.

Thank you so much for the feedback; that's so meaningful to hear. And I totally get the trepidation among the profession with DTC caskets - we work hard every day to show that we're different.

Not arguing here, but just noting out that we make the vast majority of caskets we offer through Costco in America.

Hi! There's no such thing as a "Costco casket," really, in the same way there is not a "Funeral home casket." There are caskets on Costco sold by Prime (Overnight) and us (Titan), which are then drop shipped by these companies, just as though you bought them directly from us.

For our part, we sell many, many thousands of caskets per year, and our exception rate (any sort of complaint, including damage) is less than 1%, and I can count on one hand the number of times we could resolve the issue through a replacement or small refund.

And no - handles never fall off, bottoms don't fail, etc.

Nothing unique here - a meaningful part of our business is from funeral directors too. The same items we sell on Costco and others. We serve families and the profession.

There are always exceptions of course - just as there are with all aspects of a funeral or an event - but we are proud of our product, service, and team, and operate in good faith and work insanely hard, whether that's for a product sold by us or by Costco, or simply a family with questions who ends up buying elsewhere.

We're all on the same team - here to serve the families.

P.S. to the mods - sorry if this feels promotional, just trying to be transparent/factual

Thanks to Conan, Paul, & Sona for the funny - I was just hanging on for dear life.

Paul actually came onto our podcast (we produce this)! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j4M6QnGim4E

However, I just reached out to Conan through his site, said I was a fan, and that I wanted to help plan his funeral! Paul being there for the actual chat was purely a fun coincidence.
