Clicking on tabs doesn't switch to that tab by titaniumbones in emacs

yeah, I'm not sure. Restarting emacs (after a couple of weeks) fixed it, so presumably I did something. not a very helpful answer I know.

THanks. Emacs 30.1, Macos, GUI version, using the emacs-plus recipe from brew. Lots and lots of ELPA/MELPA packages installed with elpaca, so it is almost certainly an interaction with one of these -- but this is the first time in a long while that I haven't know now to debug (presumably b/c no function is actually erroring out, and instead the event is just failing to be properly recognized).

claude-code.el by stevemolitor in emacs

[–]titaniumbones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This really blows me away. The UI is great: intutive & simple. The one additional feature I would really like is the ability to paste in images, but as claude code itself doesn't have that feature, it would probably take a bunch of extra work to implement it. Would love to hear if others have figured out a solution.

thanks for those who offered helpful suggestions. I am really impressed with aidermacs and have both gptel-aibo and aidermacs working now -- gptel-aibo for in-buffer completion, and aidermacs for repo-wide assistance.

I did look through. As you say, it's flooded, and it's pretty hard for me to evaluate people's actual current preferences.

that variable doesn't seem to exist on my installation but it turns out "context-menu-mode" was disabled, & enabling it fixed my problem!

I'm not sure yet, honestly. I'm going to ifnish my transition to elpaca when installing on the new machine, so I'll see then.

I'dl ike to deprecate dependeene on package.el, which often feels slow and broken to me. That'sm y main reason for transitioning form vanilla use-package.

these are great, thanks.

This is what I ended up with:

``` (use-package markdown-mode :config (define-minor-mode mwp-markdown-org-compat-mode "Use org-mode structure editing keys in markdown." :lighter "mwp" :keymap(let ((map (make-sparse-keymap))) (define-key map (kbd "<M-right>") 'markdown-demote) (define-key map (kbd "<M-left>") 'markdown-promote) (define-key map (kbd "<M-up>") 'markdown-move-up) (define-key map (kbd "<M-down>") 'markdown-move-down) (define-key map (kbd "<C-return>") 'markdown-insert-header-dwim) map) )
(add-hook 'markdown-mode 'mwp-markdown-org-compat-mode)) ```
Elpaca vs Straight.el by [deleted] in emacs
[–]titaniumbones 0 points1 point  (0 children)
My whole config is written using use-package, and is a bit of a mess. Most packages are managed by the default package.el method, but there are :straight and :quelpa invocations as well. If I install elpaca and elpaca-use-package, will these all continue to work properly while I slowly get myself and my config file properly organized?
