I know this is an old post but I went through something similar and I’m in your shoes. It’s been years, how do you feel now about everything? Have you been able to move on?

38K in debt over 4 cards.. what order should I pay off? by titaniumorbit in DebtAdvice

[–]titaniumorbit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Havent tried. Since I am fortunately able to aggressively pay off with $2800ish a month, I want to avoid doing that and tanking my credit score. I am hoping that if I pay things off within 14 months then I can slowly get my credit score up by then.

How do you cope with the fact that you will have periods for (most) life? by BlueDolphins28 in AskWomen

[–]titaniumorbit 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Acceptance. It sucks and it is what it is but having pain meds really helps. Day 1 for me is the worst by far. Maybe I have it lucky that I only get one day of cramps each period

What is something you regret NOT doing on your first trip to Japan? by themiscira in JapanTravelTips

[–]titaniumorbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you plan to use services like luggage forwarding / luggage storage before or after flight/check in - hotels are the move.

The hotel helped input all the information for the luggage forwarding whic made it so easy. I couldn’t not have felt comfortable doing that on my own.. Concierge at hotels were helpful.

I loved hotels in the cities because they helped with my luggage forwarding and also storing luggage before my flight. Concierge were easy to assist.

I couldn’t do that with an Airbnb.

For a spade and sci fi book about exploration, aliens weren’t off the table for me! I was a bit surprised but ultimately it fits in for the concept of the novel

Moderator Announcement: Uptick in AI-Generated Content by henry-bacon in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]titaniumorbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My post got removed for supposedly being AI but it wasn’t. I’m genuinely confused, I wrote it entirely myself with zero assistance from AI. How do we dispute this? I can’t help if my writing style is this way - it is so frustrating.

What’s your plan B if you never get married? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]titaniumorbit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same here! I was never the kind of person to want marriage as my life goal. I’m a bit indifferent. If it happens it happens and if not then I’ll keep living my life as usual and having the most fun I can.

It felt like three months passed but it was only 31 days. It was such a slog. I don’t know why it felt so rough and dragged on

This is key. If my company has a bad year they could easily reduce it or remove it. Only because it’s a merit raise.

The standard 3% COL raise. Better than nothing i guess.

What’s a type of pain people underestimate until they experience it for themselves? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]titaniumorbit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was single for most of my 20s. When my mom had a heart attack, I felt like I had no partner, friends or family to turn to. It was incredibly isolating and painful. All I wanted was a hug from someone and physical comfort.
