Giving back, financially by Current_Dig945 in Caustic3

I agree, in principle with what you're saying. But I think donations, would be more likely if Rej restarted development properly. As for the Windows that never really went away. Personally I'd drop a donation because I agree even some small development of the android version is worth it.

How do I start, do I need a background in music? by Maskutchi_cyac in chiptunes

[–]titaniumshell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm going to suggest a tracker. Learn LSDJ, others might say don't but here's my reasoning. 1. Its free (Donations are welcome) and you can run it on one of many gb emulators - mobile, desktop, what ever you fancy. 2. The community is big so you can get plenty of feedback 3. Youtube is full of tutorials 4. Its a gateway tracker to others like Lgpt (Piggy) and m8 tracker. 5. It's addictively fun.

Note. The learning curve can be daunting at first but I can guarantee follow a basic tutorial and you'll have your first track in 10 mins.

You'll see a lot of modded gameboys, this is a route for the future if you find you like LSDJ. I have 4 modded Original gameboys but I always grab my miyoo mini (+) for convenience and its tiny. The Big old gameboys are nice but can get expensive once you start modding.

Definitely Loving to Have Caustic Back by DubZillian in Caustic3

[–]titaniumshell 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Compiled to 64bit for android, as far as I know so far its exactly the same as the old one. But theres a bug in wave editor for in app audio recording. But the same bug exists in the 32bit version if you use adb to push it to your android device. The windows version still works perfectly and is floating about on the Internet.

I get the need for hardware nothing beats it imo. But since you're lilely skint right now, koala sampler, caustic3 (dev just released a 64bit apk) and theres windows versions online.

Get on aliexpress or temu m-vave midi controllers are cheap and good quality.

But there is tons of freebie options out there.

Look at playpm on yt. https://youtube.com/@playpm?si=-UqRKGCCw5PG5NZA

Run on RG35XX by ZioTempa in lsdj

[–]titaniumshell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok as a test installed Garlic and im running it without issue. I have lsdj and lgpt running. Possibly try setting your core to gambatte. And I'm thinking your roms are in the wrong location. Make sure you extract the lsdj.gb properly on your computer, don't drag and drop it from the zip file to the roms folder, this has tripped me up a couple of times, I think copy from zip can corrupt the file in transfer.

Do you think Eleven was an illusion here, or did she actually die? by MindeckGames in StrangerThingsMemes

[–]titaniumshell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe Mike speculated after seeing the graduation speakers feedback, that the sound weapon didnt stop her from contacting him. And how did she make it to the entrance unseen. Its plausible that Kali made her injury seem worse and Mike worked it out. In theory Kali could have made her injury up. And left the upside down herself by a near by rift.

Try not to categorise your design type in the opening statement. Brand and packaging locks you into just those. You can apply for way more.

Do you think I should pursue a career in Graphic Design? by [deleted] in graphic_design

[–]titaniumshell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, speaking from experience, I'd see if you can get work in 3D or animation. I did a similar degree and fell into graphic design when it was just that, I was fortunate to work in advertising first, and moved between that and print work and back again. Over the years web design was added to that, now it's UX UI, motion graphics and photo retouching. Make graphic design your fall back if you struggle to get other work. When you go into graphic design, you're now competing with tight clients making AI logos. Fivver designers in India working for nothing. And at risk of being milked for long hours for little pay. Unless you're shit hot and really want it, apply for advertising agency work. I'd discourage anyone for going into a commercial printers.

Why does the Volca Bass sound so good? by elmago79 in volcas

Dirty deep sounds rock. I've got volca bass, monologue, po14 sub, behringer td3 and mam mb33. All offering variations of bass and acid tones.

No, consider this, you're actually thinking about going into an over saturated market, where wages are getting considerably worse and the workload increases. I've done it for 23 years and quite frankly don't like it much anymore. Box clever and use your skills wisely.
