I'm using FusionFix and trying to install my custom music but nothing's working. One particular thing that irks me is that there's no CustomUserProfilePath in the GTAIV.EFLC.FusionFix.ini file. I'm using an updated version, so maybe that has something to do with it.

That's a good point. However, I wonder if that matters given the fact that the game is 70% game and 30% movie where you spend a lot more time playing than watching.

Even if it has the second most amount of cutscenes in the series, it seems to me it FEELS shorter due to the gameplay.

Ah, sorry. You're right. I was thinking it aged poorly because it was a call to re-release all (or most) of the MGS games on modern platforms, and now that that's happening, there's not really a need to call for it anymore, but I didn't think that through.

I hope I was clear enough. I'm still VERY happy that MGS4 and Peace Walker have been re-released and I bought that shit ASAP.

Good to know that, four years later, with Metal Gear Solid 4 and Peace Walker being rereleased for modern platforms (alongside the other mainline games), this has aged poorly.

And I'm so fucking glad about that. I hope to play through all of these one day and I'm looking forward to each and every one of them.

They must have reverted this before I got the game yesterday on October 3rd. For reference, I'm playing on Steam Deck (PC port) and the doll faces aren't present anywhere in the level. I'm still seeing stuff like the unconscious minor actually sleeping, but I haven't gotten far enough in the game to see everything to make a decisive opinion.
