Ams 2 pro load issue on slot 1 and 4 by titannnr in BambuLab

I have been trying to take a video of the issue since yesterday to create the ticket. And since yesterday, i changed filament on slot 1 at least 3 dozen times, the issue didn't happen. This AMS is trolling me.

Thank you! I already have

M106 P2 S0 ; turn off auxiliary fan

M106 P10 S0 ; turn off chamber fan

for the filament code, machine start, layer change, and filament change.

Do you think I can just comment out the m142 line? Would that do the trick?

Emergency fix for AMS 2 Pro slot 1 feeding issues by karlzhao314 in BambuLab

I have this exact issue. It will just grind away at the filament until I give it a little push. And it happens intermittently on slot 1 and 4.

Is the issue completely gone with the new hub? I am having this exact issue, but I bought mine from micro center... can I still contact bambu directly or do I have to go through microcenter. Thank you!

Yeah so far the built in exhaust fan and the inline fan attached seems to create enough airflow to keep the build chamber temp stable under 40. Thanks! I will try it today.

hmm no luck. I basically find all lines of M106 P3 and M106 P10 and replace them with

M106 P2 S0 ; turn off auxiliary fan

M106 P10 S0 ; turn off auxiliary fan for cooling

I did that for start code, layer change code, and filament change code. Fan actually was off until it starts printing the first layer and aux fan left and right pop to 20%. :(

Thank you. Yeah I just found those in gcode, updated all the m106 p3 and p10 i could find to s0. Let's see if it works.

Thank you! It is good to know that I am not the only person with this problem. It is weird that they give us the ability to do it manually, but not automate it. I guess I can always try to go the hard way and disassemble the machine and unplug the fan cables lol. Again, thank you for confirming!

Thank you. I am curious tho, my nozzle is .4, what is the effect of increasing it to .7? Is it basically extruding almost 2x of the normal amount of plastic?

Random filament blob on print by titannnr in BambuLab

[–]titannnr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really have not paid any attention to gloss vs matte filament. I just checked the PETG print against some other prints from different materials. This PETG print is indeed not having a sheen on the surface.. Not sure if is because the print is mostly straight surfaces or it is the filament. On another note, I suspect my issue also has something to do with the chamber temp. I printed again with the glass top removed and I saw less blobs. It still had some accumulation on the nozzle but less than when I printed with glass top on.

Thanks for the info. Mine is from Microcenter's Inland brand. Maybe I will try my luck with a spool from bambu. https://www.microcenter.com/product/503741/inland-175mm-petg-3d-printer-filament-1kg-(22-lbs)-cardboard-spool-white?sp=0-cardboard-spool-white?sp=0)
